CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Two-time champion Tony Stewart likened NASCAR to professional wrestling and accused it of using bogus caution flags to shape races in biting comments made on his weekly radio show.

Wonder how he got to be two-time champion. :scratch Maybe that's why he's talking of retiring.

Good to see you, npkourne. :hug

I've heard many times that NASCAR uses the caution flags to keep races tight at the end. This is supposedly to make it more exciting for the fans. I disagree with the policy, but it's always been like this, so I don't see the point in crying about it.

You are watching the wrong race... you were watching Vince McMahon's new spin-off World Racing Entertainment. :nod Turn it over to Fox for the actual race.

This is true, NASCAR is pure marketing genius. The France people know what brings in fans, and adjust the rules to accomadate. Whether they make up rules on the spot or not, that doesn't change the fact though that in the ends its racing! Endurance racing for most of the time, with a caution flag thrown in near the end to tighten the it up for an exciting "sprint" finish.

I've seen some pretty iffy caution flags for "debris on the track" towards the end of some races.....Phoenix being the latest one!

All Nascar rules are aimed at making the cars run together.

When Dale Jr won th erace after his Dad past away, it convinced me that something was going on.

I'll take F1 anyday.

Not to change the subject, but in the NBA Finals, the Spurs could actually sweep the Cavs, but I guarantee you they won't because there will be at least one game where the Spurs will have foul trouble, thus extending the series, and bringing in more TV revenue.
