Thanks so much for posting. I sent it to my catholic wife's e mail at her work. She'll read it on Monday, and I'm sure will come home furious at me for sending it. I don't know what else to do.

Wouldn't you be angry if she sent you things that mocked and belittled your beliefs? Put yourself in her shoes for a moment.
I don't know what else to do.
What else have you tried?

I've tried bringing her to my Church, where she'll hear the Truth. I've tried bringing her to my Wednesday night Bible Study class. I've tried talking to her numerous times, but it always end up as a fight.
I completely understand her feelings. I would feel the same if I knew I had been scammed all my life. However, she knows the Bible, claims to be born again, yet continues to follow catholicism. She ministers the Eucharist every Sunday and is there every Holy Day. We've been married for 38 years, and I love her dearly, but since I was saved a couple of years ago, and learned the Truth, this has been a burden on my mind.
What do you suggest????

Gandalf - I truly don't think you, as an unbeliever, know the desire on the hearts of us Christians to see that our loved ones come to know the Truth of Jesus and what He came and gave His life to do.
There is One Way, One Truth and One Life. Not every belief is valid.

I know catholics believe a lot of wacky things, but don't they also believe in salvation through Jesus?

If Jesus is mentioned, keeping the sacraments is what's salvific and even then, one can't be sure of one's salvation. Lots of info in Cults on Catholicism. Check out Buzz's dizzying charts on the Catholic view of salvation.

Catholics believe in salvation through Christ, yes.
They believe in salvation by grace, through faith, in Christ. Major difference in what the TRUE Church believes, though. The TRUE Church believes in salvation by grace ALONE, through faith ALONE, through Christ ALONE.
Not the same thing at all.
Catholics put works as necessary with the cross, which puts their works on equal footing with the finished work of Christ. In other words, they've diminished Jesus and made His sacrifice only part of salvation. Their works complete the process.

Hmmm... this raises an interesting question. If a person has faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior, but believes that they must also follow certain traditions to aquire a place in heaven, are they truly saved?:thinking

It's an age-old debate and one (of many) reasons why Protestants and Catholics are so divided.
People who say that Protestants and Catholics both follow the same Christ are naive, imo.
