I don't think you are the only one either. I get adverts placed under my windscreen wiper constantly. It can be very inconvenient having to pull over to remove it.

Booth's are great if you can get one at an event. One reason being, people come to you, expecting to have a conversation. A good display draws people over. You can see two different booths on that first video.
18 April 2009 is the Terrell Heritage Jubilee, but they also set up a traveling carnival the week before, and wensday through friday we work there, plus the fair runs part day sunday.. We have several booths you can work, as i'm tied to several groups there to witness one to one, all using different ways to draw people in.

First monday weekends are the first weekend of the month in Canton, and there's always someone by the east gate on saturdays with our group. I'm there if i'm off... (I will be there in April again)

If you don't plant seeds you get no harvest! We are seed planters, don't get discouraged! I've had times, when the Lord has even used them to encourage believers needing it. That they knew they were not the only ones and that the Lord had heard their cries! Those who are true believers and we hand tracts to, want to know how they can order some and usually can think of someone right off the bat of who needs to receive it. Now that is the Lord at work!

We've gone over all these areas before in other threads over the last couple years if you would like to read them.
People don't leave the tracts on things necessarily because they are saying that particular thing is a sin. They just leave them in places which will catch someone's eye who will then pick it up and read it. Plus, the Holy Spirit will do the convicting. It's a simple way to get the gospel message out to many people from day to day. It may be the only way a person ever hears the message. We obviously can't get to know everyone personally on the street. Plus, as far as people we know personally or even a person who is already an aquaintance, I agree, giving them a tract is not the way to go.
I found a tract once. I was already a Christian but it had an effect on me. It convinced me of further discipleship. We may pass out or leave hundreds of tracts that have no effect but even if a few do then it's worth it.
The way I look at it if just one person gets saved from all the tracts you hand out in your entire lifetime it will be worth it.
