I just started going to the public city library and putting tracks in books lol. I put the ones on salvation, calling on Jesus, what happens if you reject Jesus and than you die tracks in the bibles they have for check out. I'm also starting to put the ones on evidence of the historical evidence of Jesus and his salvation plan into the Richard Dawkins "God Delusion" books. (His books are always being checked out). I place them several pages in so the librarians dont trash them when someone is checking the book out, and bind them good so they don't fall.

I would recommend going to your local library and putting tracks in all the Richard Dawkins books or Christopher Hitchen books. Especially "The God Delusion" book. It seems these books can't stay on the check-in shelves they're always being checked out for readings.

Another important note. Write in the tracks "This is not associated with Jehova Witnesses nor Mormonism, but only true Orthodox Christian" or something when placing them in books or sending them out. It seems like when you hand out these tracks people say "Oh, you're one of those Jehova Witnesses".

Just a few thoughts on tracts. I've read some of the more common methods here and also some pretty ingenious ones too. I use tracts in my biker ministry as a means of putting the gospel into someone's hand after one on one witnessing.Always remember it goes where you can't-into someone's home and maybe to someone else the Lord intended the message for.On Saturdays I go to a huge flea market near my home and give out tracts both in English and Spanish as we have a huge migrant worker population here in the south. Convience store parking lots are also a great witnessing spot. People seem to love to look at the Harley as its painted like an American flag and I make sure they don't leave "empty handed". I tell them "Hey everything in the store will cost ya but this is free...but it came at a great price!" That usually gets the HUH? look and conversation too. I do believe in gospel tracts being effective...just be sure the text of the tract has the COMPLETE plan of Salvation. Some never mention repentance of sin. I use some from the fellowshiptractleague.org and also the Max Lucado tract 3:16 the Numbers of Hope. Also someone said in a post that its become almost obsessive for them daily...that's encouraging. What better to be consumed by than the overwhelming need to bring others to Christ, amen? I admit to being somewhat committed myself...on the days the weathers not fit to ride I take my truck and hand tracts out or go to Wal Mart or a bookstore and leave tracts in the most sinful reading material I can find, not to be judgemental but I don't doubt for a second the power of the Holy Spirit to convict hearts when someone sits down to their new book on witchcraft and "Where are YOU going to spend Eternity" falls into their lap! Just pray for the Holy Spirit to give you the words and be bold and unashamed of His love. You'll get a blessing from sharing the gospel as none of us were created to "sit on the fence or warm the bench". So as for me and my house, we're gonna serve the Lord. I'm blessed every day that He lets me serve Him in this bike ministry as the mission field is right outside your door. What will you do for Him today?

That's a wonderful way to witness--I'm sure you're able to branch out and reach a variety of people.

What are Tracks???
I hear every one talking about ether getting or giving tracks!

I think they are something that has information about the gospel of Jesus Christ on them, but I do not know where to get them and what they really are??
are they cd's, or a dvd or a tape....

I am planning to get some and give them out with my regular ministry...

Also can any of you tell me some interesting storys about getting or giving tracks??

What was the experience like for you?? and what advice would you give when you do give them out!

What have you guys found to be the best way to give them out?? :hug

Thank you all for helping me with this, and God Bless each of you! :thumb

Bible tracts are small little "pamphlets" that tell the good news of salvation in a simple to read format. There are many different types of tracts out there so you can choose one thats fitting to your situation. I personally keep them in my pick-up truck and my work van. I have passed them out at drive-thru windows, left them on restaurant tables, put them on windshields and their a good ice-breaker. :wave
