A federal civil rights lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a 67-year-old Georgia man who was arrested, held in jail for two days and convicted without being given access to a lawyer for passing out Gospel tracts on a public street.
The action was brought by the Alliance Defense Fund on behalf of Fredric Baumann, who was arrested on the orders of police chief Mike Eason.
The ADF said a Georgia Superior Court earlier this month agreed to its request to overturn the conviction of Baumann, "a Christian man whom Cumming police arrested in April for passing out religious literature on a public sidewalk."
"Christians have the same First Amendment rights as anyone else in America and cannot be treated as second-class citizens," ADF Senior Legal Counsel David Cortman said. "The government should not force them to get special permission before practicing their constitutional right to free speech.

This is only the beginning.
I read down to where they wouldn't even give this guy his glasses so he could read the Bible in his cell.
Glad it was overturned... but again... this kind of thing will get a lot more common I think. The enemy knows his time is short.

When I mail my bills I put a gospal tract inside the envelope. I wonder how long it will be before someone tries to get a lawsuit against me??

I went to the mall and placed tracts in various places, it was fun. When I was done I backtracked my way through the mall and every one of them were gone. You never know, it wouldn't surprise me if someone could get cited for littering. :shocked :ohno

Great job! I love it! I handed out a tract to a man I walked by in the mall about 1/2 yr ago.. do you know he said to me, "Thank you, we never get these anymore, thanks so much!"

Take everyone you can to heaven with you:rapture
-Always Keep tracts in my pocket!
-Amazing, especially now, how hungry people are for a simple touch with the Lord! A simple... "God bless you" & they grab the tract! Amazing! Also, tract on cars!
-Q? If you just hand out one tract a day, just imagine, you can touch 365 people a year! So E-Z! Everyone has their own way of serving! Do It! Sumptin that we have the priviledge to visit God's children wherever they are! & when we get there, they will be there too! Thinking more people will be saved this way than from any pulpit!
Touching Jesus is all that matters!
-It is letting His love flow! Love being and love doing! It is the flow of divine life. Dam it off by self-centeredness and it becomes a dead sea. Everyone can do sumptin' -tired of doing nothing! Just put 3 tracts in your pocket.... Move! GO! GO! GO!
I like to leave the $$$$ tracts around banks and on the back of buses for the school kids! They just eat it up and pass the tract from one to another! --This is the real fun--- seeing & praying for 10 of God's children reading a tract!
