if it is within the time it should show if you are prego, and you test three times with the same results, sounds like you are pregnant.
But I have seen tests that shows a line anyway called evaporation line. But it usually don't show until 15 minutes later after the result, depending on the test.
Q: What if the test is negative after the 5 minute reaction time, but becomes positive after an hour?
A: You may be pregnant and just didn't have a high enough level of hCG to trigger the test within the usual time frame. Or that test may react over time, so you really need to test again either way in order to be sure of the result. Some brands indicate that an "evaporation line" will appear if the test is left to sit. Generally speaking, you should not rely on any positive result that does not show up within the time limit stated in the test instructions. All brands have the possibility of an evaporation line or chemical line.
If you think the result is incorrect, or if it is difficult to detect a line, repeat the test after 2 -3 days with a new test. ... http://www.pregnancy.org/article.php?sid=1197

When I got pregnant with my son, I did three tests too. I called the doctor and asked how accurate these tests are and was told if it is positive 100%. As I sat and looked at three positive tests which were still lined up when my husband got home from work. My daughter was only 15 month old at that time.
Yep, I was pregnant, but they turned positive instantly!

my first 3 pregnancies, every time I got a false negative my first few tests. :lol
my second son even gave my medical doctor a false negative. I like to tease the doctor with "This is the baby you told me I was not pregnant with" :lol2
ANY line is a positive line.

I took the three tests into the doc with me.....they were positive on the test, but my blood test says negative. They figure I have a cyst, which is making my cycle long, and the tests to read positive. She said this is rare, but not unheard of.
Dh was relieved, and I was sort of too.....except I have felt so guilty since having my tubal. A baby would have been welcomed by me.
