Knows why, how, and the eternity he will face, yet he still rejects Jesus shows us the control Satan has of some.

Is this person in the vid really an Athiest or is this a Christian pretending to be Athiest in a mock interview to help Christians be on fire for the Great Commission and thy Lord?

I agree with Kiefer's first post on this. This is an atheist who is trying to make Christians out to be hypocrites and cowards due to a lack of "witnessing". A Christian's service to the Lord is between him and the Lord. It is not something some atheist should sit in judgment over. In my opinion, this atheist is trying to stir up strife both against Christians by non-Christians as well as amongst Christians (the "witnessing" vs. "non-witnessing" ones, if there even is truly such a distinction amongst Christians - I don't think there is).
Not everyone is called to "witness" in the same manner. Cold-calling and shotgun/scatter-shot approaches, in my opinion, are not effective. To stand in front of a crowd and scream the gospel message can (and usualy does, in my opinion) cheapen it, putting it on the same level as anything peddled on the street, like fruit or newspapers or trinkets or other junk. I don't want to take the Gospel and treat it like that. Furthermore, the Christian's first "witness" should be in his walk with the Lord and how he lives his life, what is showing through how he lives his life. This is what will capture people's attention. This is what will give a Christian the credibility to EFFECTIVELY witness.
I don't want to go on about what witnessing should or could be, but I will reiterate that this atheist, in the video clip, is trying to manufacture a guilt in Christians. I find it ironic that he, on the one hand, considers the Gospel to be important to the Christian, yet on the other hand lives his life with the mindset that all things which are not natural are not real, and not even possible. That's what atheism teaches. If this guy doesn't believe that way, then he's an agnostic, at least, but not an athest. However, he claims to be an atheist.
I've had it with the arrogant attitudes atheists use to demean and attack Christians and Christianity, and I certainly don't see this video clip as "truth" at all, but rather another way for Satan to attack Christians by trying to guilt us away from serving the Lord.

I guess that's one way of looking at it. The thing about it is it didn't make me feel guilty at all. It inspired me. :) Maybe that was a weird response but it did. As far as living your life in a Christ-like manner that's true you should but unless a person knows why you are living your life that way then it doesn't mean anything to them. There are lots of really nice humanists out there who are very servent minded, work with charities, donate lots of money and are caring neighbors and friends. I know lots of Christians who never open their mouths to witness to even their closest neighbors and friends who they've known for years. Whatever the motivations were of the atheist, and they very well could have been to make people feel guilty, what he said is still true.

I agree. Some people are better at witnessing over the internet, or various other forums. As Kiefer said, not everyone is at the same level. However, Every Christian should find SOME way to share the gospel, otherwise they are not doing their job.

Um, How did Paul spread the gospel? Scripture is clear, by all means.... I know people that have come to Christ by many various means, including hearing open air preachers and getting tracks.

This is so far from the truth.
Most people are happy living in sin. By thinking this is the way, that we should live just as example, you condem people to hell by failure to warn them of judgement.

Take a look at pratice what you preach video, and look at what confessing believers say about how they witness. Its down right sad they won't use words.

I've had it with confessing Christians, who do their best to do nothing. As a mailman, I get tons of materials from JW's, on my mail route, who stop me and hand me everything from bibles to tracts. Guess how many tracts from "Christians" I've got.... ZERO.
Who cares the most for me? No one except these cults have tried to witness to me. If I were a seaker, not knowing scripture, guess who I would have sided with....probably the people who took the time to come to me and share. For those of us who believe scripture is true, we are driven to do something, because we care and we follow God's command.
Mark 16:15
He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Notice..
He did not say, "Wait for them to come to you."

Amen Dan! You have defintiely got me thinking on how I can share the gospel more. To be honest, lately I have done nothing. One moment I am focusing on witnessing to others, then nothing for awhile. Time to stop slumbering.
Thanks again.
God Bless.

Your right Dan I think all Christians(me included) should do better to be more open about our faith.

I agree absolutely with Dan. The fact of the matter is, it's just plain HARD to witness sometimes... and more hard for some people than for others. But the more you do it, the more comfortable you become. Practice makes perfect! :)
I also agree with the JW comment, although in my area, the Mormons are a huge issue. The LDS missionaries can always be seen on campus in their suits and name badges talking to someone. I think everyone on campus has talked to atleast one mormon! And that's pretty darn sad. They've visited my apt a few times and we've had a few conversations but of course, they don't listen... Anyways just be encouraged that through Christ we can do ANYTHING! Even go up to the grumpiest looking guy and ask, "What do you believe happens when you die?" And go from there. It's really that easy. Or just give him a tract.
God bless!
