Right now, they're all in musical theatre summer camp - which I'm running. After our performance this weekend, I'll be able to fill in the holes. I sure wish my daughter could get into the literature class at the co-op - she's a voracious reader and discussing books in class would be fun for her.

Above is the free MIT site, COOL. I also bought the book she needs on ebay for $9.50 (including shipping so really cheap!!).
I also forgot to add my kids are getting their physical/health/emergency training from the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), they will also get to fly and learn to fly, which is cool for them. And my oldest is taking Guitar lessons and is playing in the orchestra.
I just spent yesterday organizing their school area, I bought some bin's and my youngest dd and I had a blast decorating them and placing all the school items in them.
Any one else?? The good thing about Homeschooling is you can plan when you start so some might be starting later. We like to stay on the same schedule as our local school because we live in a neighborhood with a bunch of kids and my kids would spend the day looking out the window when the neighborhood kids had the day off so we quickly changed to their schedule.

Here's the best online explanation I found for calculating gpa.
The book Homeschooling through High School has a good section on this as well, and explains the difference between grading a regular course and an AP course.

My ds will be in first grade. I wanted to do a program through the computer or DVD. I read a lot about Bob Jones DVD school. It sounds really great!
Has anyone used it and if so what do you think of it?
Thanks,
witness

We're trying the Weaver curriculum mixed with Switched on Schoolhouse this year from Alpha Omega. Weaver SOUNDS perfect... anyone have reviews?
They have some interesting stuff from AoP! We've already gotten a caterpillar and watched it turn into a butterfly in the "habitat" we got from 'em, etc... they have the kit where you can watch a tadpole turn into a frog, etc... My youngest is in kindergarten, so he LOVED that! The other two were pretty excited about it too!
We're going to start in Sept. since we worked through the summer.
In His love,
