Yes microwave it. Although I would suggest 10 seconds. Here in Virginia people fought the real id and killed it. Only to have the DMV come out with a new drivers licnse with all the features of the real id. Hmmm I guess our voices don't count for much. The new license has many new security features including some they won't tell the general public about. Another HMMMM. Could it be it also has a chip in it?

I'M sure we'll see the guy that does the Shamwow commercials introduce the ChipZap for $19.95 that will produce a small EMP charge to fry the chip when the card is placed inside. No tell-tale external damage that way. Just don't get stopped by the police to "check your papers."

Pets, Id, Vehicles.... whose to say they wont be chipping students soon.
Not just students, but all children from birth at the hospital as a security measure to prevent baby mixups and kidnapping. This has already been proposed by medical people as a way to prevent some psycho from walking out with someone elses baby.
If they ever start doing that I can just see us christians having our version of a circumcision ceremony, only we will be circumchipping instead. :lol2
It was mentioned somewhere that the RFID chip technology would include measures, like encryption, that would make it impossible for a data surfer to read one. But when you consider the fact that the thieves are usually smarter than the government scientists from the get go I doubt it would be much more than two weeks before anything they did would be figured out and bypassed by some clever crook.

I'll accidentally put my wallet in the washer and then run my wallet over with my car.......oops
even taking a hammer to the chip might render it inoperative and useless.need to find a way to verify the chip is non functional after wards.

The last time I updated my license in '09, I noticed the clerk ran it like a credit card to load information. That means it's chipped. :panic

We have had 2 incidents happen lately that made us catch our breath. Maybe they wouldn't surprise you guys but it did us...
First, we got a call from Sam's Club. It was recording that noted that we had purchased a box of peanut butter crackers a month ago and they wanted to warn us about the recall on the peanut butter. I know they keep track of products that leave the premises but I guess they also get to see who is eating it and "when"!:faint
Second, I work as a claims adjuster, had to find a picture of a house in a rural area that burned down. Guess how I got it? www.googlemaps.com... check it out.... I found a pic of our house and it had my husband leaving the driveway!! It was fairly current and the thing looked like it was taken from street level. I KNOW no one is sitting out on our country road taking pics... so..... if you haven't seen this one.. check it out.... :twitch
I wish I could be like a little kid .. sothat when I put my hands over my eyes, I can tell myself "they cant see me.. they can't see me".. LOL... wow... and I thought googleearth was bad... gggeeeezzzzz... any other wierd stuff out there from big bro that you guys are finding??? :thinking:hehee

Google maps says "New! See user-contributed photos in Street view".
If no one is sitting out on your country road taking pics....then, who is?

This is too scary! I always know that stamps could be seen from space but, this is too personal.

They have a van or car that drives around with a shielded camera on top that takes 360 degree pictures on every road and geo-tags it for map making software. It's a really neat thing when you need to find an address of a place you've never been to before. They update those pictures about once a year. You can ask them to remove the picture by clicking on the "report a concern" link on the bottom-left of the image. Put in your concern and they'll take care of it. You may have to disable pop-ups for that page for it to work.
