Silverman also backed away from some of the Orwellian ideas floated by his cyberpunk predecessor. I can tell you that putting [the chips] into children and immigrants for identification purposes, or putting them into people, especially unwillingly, for financial transactions, has [not] been and never will be the intent of this company as long Im the chairman and CEO, he says.

Yet in 2004, Silverman told the Broward-Palm Beach New Times that the VeriChip could be used as a credit card in coming years.

Gosh, doesn't this reek of a particular mark that will be required to buy and sell in the perhaps not to distant future?:thinking

Is there really any privacy anymore? From the second you step out of your home in the morning you're on video.

That and they also decided the best place to put the chip would be in the hand or the forehead... :thinking

This event takes place at the midpoint of the Trib. An angel flies through the skies proclaiming a warning to the inhabitants of earth. "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand". Notice this is future tense. In other words, up to the midpoint of the Trib no one will have taken the MOB. This warning will take place first, THEN the MOB will be implemented. Anyone who gets chipped now or anytime up until the midpoint of the Trib is not receiving the MOB.
As a sidenote, it amazes me that people in the Trib will witness firsthand something as amazing and glorious as God's angels flying through the skies and yet will still ignore those direct warnings and choose to side with Satan. Incredible :tsk

Well, I think what we're seeing now is a "softening up" phase. Satan is working through the system to get people to see the positive benefits of a chip- no concerns about credit card theft or identity theft, your medical history is quickly and easily available wherever you are whether you are conscious or not, etc. People will come to accept chipping as being beneficial. Then when the MOB comes along, it will be a "natural" transition for most. This is of course assuming the MOB is a chip at all, we don't know that for sure. But it seems increasingly likely.

Thank-you! :candle

Didn't know about the previous thread on the verichip until after I had posted those last two links and saw the thread merger today... that'll teach me to search the topic before posting ... :thumb

I think these two quotes explain a lot to Christians who view this thread. Thank God we have other obligations to attend to while the MOB is being initiated! (new bodies! wedding! becoming an 'official' child of God! and preparing to return with our glorious and victorious King!)

...Praying that those left behind will remember Christian friends who warned and spoke of this time...that they will be led to find Christ our King and refuse the submission to the AC.

God bless each of you. ~CS

Gibraltar's work with PositiveID began on December 1 with a mandate to enhance brand visibility and build awareness of the company's evolution from identification only to diagnostic applications. Gibraltar will also work to expand awareness of two of the company's development-stage products among the media, public health officials and consumers in a range of markets, including a point-of-care rapid virus detection system for the H1N1 virus and other pandemic viruses as well as an in vivo glucose-sensing RFID microchip, based on the company's patent for an Embedded Bio-Sensor System.

We are already chipped. No need to accept one on an implant. Drivers licenses, credit/debit cards, cell phones, articles of clothing etc...the chip is here and chances are you are already chipped. Theres no getting around it. Chipping right now is used for commercial purposes. Here in CA they are testing (Or going to test) a chip to be placed in the Drivers License or a medical card for the sake of Emergency Medical Services being able to get a quick glance at your medical history (When the ambulance shows up). The chip is already a way of life like it or know it not. This indicates that the MOB will be some kind of an added digital code or an actual Mmark or physical tattoo of some sort (Barcode Tattoo?). As for now, the chip is harmless though I would never VOLUNTAIRLY get one implanted.

I have often wondered what in the world is the 'image of the beast' of Revelation 13 -- maybe some sort of hologram? It would have to be able to speak, and report information back to a source, unlike anything we've yet seen. So when I see technology like this being developed, it makes me wonder, though it also seems clear from the passage that demonic power is part of the equation.

My oldest son is about to graduate from college next month with a degree in Computer Science, and he is always relaying how rapidly technology is developing...fascinating stuff!

"Arizona Scientists Perfecting Leia-Like 3-D Holograms

(Nov. 3) -- The flickering three-dimensional image of Princess Leia begging for help in "Star Wars" is moving out of the realm of Hollywood special effects and into reality.

Scientists report today -- though not without controversy -- that they have created the first 3-D images like the holograms in the movies: depth-filled images of moving objects that are actually located elsewhere. The new technology allows something to be filmed at one site and then appear, almost instantly, in all of its seemingly solid glory, at another site.

The researchers concede that the hologram displays only herky-jerky movement rather than the smooth, continuous motion viewers see on their TV screens. And they emphasize that they need to perfect the technology. But they say their accomplishments so far offer proof that the hologram as shown in the movies is within reach.

N. Peyghambarian, University of Arizona/Nature
University of Arizona researchers say they have created holograms, but acknowledge the motion in them is not exactly fluid.

Such wizardry "is no longer something that is science fiction," research leader Nasser Peyghambarian of the University of Arizona told reporters during a telephone briefing. "It is something that you can do today."

In a video showcasing the new hologram system's capabilities, a 3-D image of one of the researchers shows him slowly moving his arms and hands. The scientists also figured out how to color their holograms, but they're still working on enlarging the images. Their biggest hologram to date measures roughly 17 inches, about the same as the figure of Princess Leia projected by R2-D2.

Once perfected, such images could be used by surgeons to offer advice on an operation taking place thousands of miles away. Auto engineers from around the world could make swift changes to a model engine using the technology, Peyghambarian said.

The technology relies on lasers to "write" the 3-D image on a panel made of a new kind of high-tech material, co-author Pierre-Alexandre Blanche of the University of Arizona told AOL News. Viewers could then sit around the panel to view the object or person in question.

Peyghambarian concedes that he and his colleagues have a lot of work to do before they can equal the popular conception of a hologram. The images they've produced move every two seconds -- faster than their previous holograms but not truly in real time. They also need to tinker with the colors, resolution and power consumption of their hologram machine.

The new material that forms the "screen" of the hologram machine is "a very slow material. It requires lots of energy to write into it," said Michael Klug, co-founder of Zebra Imaging, which produces commercial hologram equipment. That means the new system is of "limited practicality." Klug also says that Zebra already has technology for generating 3-D holograms that move at "near-video" rate. He disputes that Peyghambarian's system is really a first, though he concedes that Zebra's technology hasn't been written up in the scientific literature.

Blanche says he knows that Zebra has been working on a similar system, but doesn't know much about it because it's proprietary information.

The image "looks beautiful" and is "exciting," said MIT's Michael Bove, who is helping the Arizona scientists improve their computer software. But "it's important that it not be overhyped into something it isn't. ... This is not Princess Leia and the holodeck."

The new development is reported in Thursday's issue of the scientific journal Nature."

They need to hurry this up so every city can set up an image of the Beast that moves and speaks at every busy intersection.
Maybe city engineers can combine the Beast image with pedestrian signals:

Walk
Wait (Reverently)
Run
Run for Your Life
Crawl
Bow
Walk with Light
Walk in Darkness
Wipe That Smirk Off Your Face
