You are quite right, Tesla. The gullible hardly need any further technological advances to act like teenyboppers screaming their love at Justin Beiber.
Why did you have to remind me of him?

Once the government perfects encoding crystals, they will be able to store the informational equivalent of the entire Encyclopedia Brittanica on something the size on a 1"x1" cube. Chips the size of a grain of rice can store all your personal info, but once the government perfects cystal encoding, that can put many terrabytes of information in the palm of your hand.
A 3D projection of the anti-christ can then be made to appear in our 4D world. It would be creepy, ultra-realistic, and eternal as long as the crystal existed. Not only would it be able to speak, move and hold a conversation, but it could be made to rationalize using an algorithm. Imagine a 3D projection pronouncing death to thousands without the "mark" from the Jewish temple while the human anti-christ is reclining on a veranda in Italy enjoying a chianti. Pure evil.

I didnt know how far technology had advanced until I saw this live concert with real people watching a stage with hologram dancing up and down the stage and singing with a live band behind it. Its called Vocaloid.
This is what the public sees --- I wonder how much further the military might taken the technology

Wow, that is impressive. Even from different camera angles it look pretty convincing.

It doesn't even need to be 3D or a hologram. Any "image" of the beast using technology we currently have could fulfill the prophecy. We have to remember that when John penned Revelation there was absolutely no knowledge of any technology beyond maybe the catapult. He could only describe what he saw using references to things known in his time, and a whole lot of symbolism. The image of the beast could very well be people simply watching the AC giving a speech on television.
Revelation 13:14
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Then...
Revelation 13:15
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
This seems like there is a lot more to it than people just watching a speech.
People are commanded to 'make an image to the beast'...'the image will speak'..and then those who don't subscribe, will be killed.

I think people focus too much on the 'image' part and not enough on the 'give life' part.
Whatever the form that the image finally takes, the beast does something unique to it to make it 'live', and not some mere technological trick.

We are extremely limited by what our minds conceive the image of the beast might be.

thousands of screaming Japanese fans at a concert with a hologram lead singer. notice that the whole crowd can see the image from different angles and the hologram is able to move around the stage. this is brand spanking new technology.
In other hologram news, there is a government project called "project Bluebeam" that can project an image from satellites onto the sodium layer in our atmosphere and produce a holographic image. the entire sky could theoretically be used like a giant movie screen!

That video is kind of cool from a technical standpoint. I mean really, the tech's not good or evil, it just is.

I have a genuine concern regarding microchipping (which most of us believe will be the mark of the beast) the entire population of the earth. It wouldn't be a challenging task to implement in the western nations given the exposure to the technology we have here. But I think we're not even close to doing that (microchipping humans) in most of the third world countries looking at the role technology plays in their everyday life. There are multitudes in rural India who don't have and WILL not have any exposure to technology or computers in next few decades if not ages. And the same goes for pakistan, bangladesh, china and mostly all of african nations etc etc. We're paying too much attention as to what is happening in US alone and forgetting that the ENTIRE world must fit in the big picture for all these prophesies to be fulfilled, esp the rapture of the church. If Anti-Christ is to step in right after the rapture and stamp people with his mark then I personally feel we have long ways to go. Not that I don't agree that we're indeed living in the last days. I'm just as eager to meet the Lord but again I say these things looking at our current scenario. I could be wrong and some of you may beg to differ which I completely understand as we're entitled to an opinion. I do expect to hear what you guys have to say regarding this issue.
Peace!
