I agree so far...


There isnt any 'default'. The choice will be clear; Take the Mark or Death by Beheading.

It wont be possible to take the Mark 'by accident'. There will be no mistaking who you are swearing allegiance to. It will be a visible sign of your rejection of God.

The 'chip', as it exists now, does not qualify as 'the Mark'.

I agree that one will not take the mark by accident, he/she will be aware of what they are doing. However, I also think that in the Tribulation, people who are faced with hunger will try to rationalize with themselves about the mark & many may try to claim that because they don't "worship" the Beast in a traditional sense, then they can still take the mark & be safe from God's judgement...so I don't like linking the mark to worship unless it's pointed out that rejecting God's Biblical Warning IS the SAME as choosing the Beast system over God's Word.

What about children whose parents make them take the mark? especially if they are too young to know what it really means?

The "mark" seems to be a VISIBLE one.. and it is one of a "man".. (the A/C)--his number

Those who are saved during the tribulation period WILL be able to calculate that this is the number of his name. Not until then. If we COULD calculate it, then we would know whom he is. Scripture tells us that the A/C can not be revealed until er are taken out of the way.

but if i were not, i would obviously be here during the tribulation...however, i would have NO CLUE how to calculate any name to determine if it was 666...how would one do that???

I suggest you reread Revelation 14. It says the mark will be put on the forehead or on the hand. Aside from the fringe elements of society, who is willing to put a caplet sized chip under their skin (as is the case with the Biochip). They would have this massive BUMP on their forehead. I highly doubt implanting a chip in the forehead is going to be an option because no reasonable person (heathen or otherwise) is going to do that so the biochip would not really have that option. Other than that, I do not think you are too far off base. I do believe it will be some system that ties into the internet and there will be a database or cluster of databases that will house everyone's information.

For what it's worth the Amish do think that this is the "Mark of the Beast". The thinking is that the requirement that cattle receive a mark before they can be bought or sold, definetly points to scripture. On the other hand there is a new technology that has been created by Somark Innovations thats being tested on cattle as we speak that is an invisible "tatoo" that uses a special ink which can be read by RFID readers (just as an injected chip might be read), and this could be it. None the less neither I nor my family will be getting an chip implants.

By the way the Amish think the "Beast" is the computer.
