I'm with you Jesusboy.

I can't believe that Ray Comfort is getting raked over the coals this way. :shocked

Most of God's 'true' shepherds experience some type of persecution or criticism, just about always from within the visible church.

some have said that this type witnessing is scripted. well, yes it is to a point. we have a script written out for us to follow in the Bible. the Gospel message is a simple message, so how many different ways can you present it without straying from its central core? yes, Ray does avoid certain questions from people and it has been explained by Todd Friel (Wretched TV). it is to keep on subject and not get caught up in circular, endless arguments.

this is not to put anyone down, but after the post i have seen on here i would suggest that everyone make sure they are in the faith. just because you believe in the rapture does not mean you are saved. just because you are in church and may be witnessing does not mean you yourself are in the faith. the unsaved can lead someone to the truth and not be in it themselves. there have been pastors during a revival come to realize they have missed the mark and have come to Christ at their own revival. we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE IN THE FAITH?

Ive heard in Ray Comfort sermon that other preachers have tried to stop Ray Comfort preaching Ray quoted a verse from the Bible saying its better that someone preachers the Gospel then no one, aswell as these preachers water down the Gospel they dont mention words that offened the sinner, such as "sinner", "sin", "hell" and so on the preachers told Ray Comfort that their preaching technique is that God is their friend and has a big manchion waiting for them in heaven. Are those preachers worse since their preaching is not Biblical? Ray Comfort gets his technique from the Master none other then Jesus Christ and Ray Comfort uses exactly the same technique what Jesus did Luke 18:18-20, a rich ruler came to Jesus asking Jesus what must i do to inherit eternal life? Jesus pointed the rich ruler to the law the ten commandments. Is this is what its all about? that Ray Comfort preachers that sinners should repent then believe? instead of believing then repenting? if so is it that much of a big deal? I remember Jesus saying in one of the Gospels "repent or you will perish".

Jesusboy, i do believe you have it. yes we are going to offend when we show others that they have the wrath of God abiding on them because they have broken his law. Yes, we must repent and believe to receive his forgiveness. Some have said they think repenting means to change your ways then you can be saved. repent means that you realize you are a sinner and that you cannot save yourself, it is a change of mind. you once loved your sin, now you hate your sin and want to be conformed to the image of Christ.

You may offend and that person may walk away mad, but that is because the Holy Spirit is convicting them of their sin, it is not personal. they may sometime later on God's time come to him and you may not know until we get to heaven. i witnessed to a man and he thought i was a nut (he may have been right) he laughed at me. One day he was in a car accident and while in I.C.U he came to Christ, because of what i had said and this was a few years after the fact. He is now a pastor. So we must witness without worry of the momentary effect, for God will work it out in his time.

Go serve your King!

I am reading "The Way of the Master" by Ray Comfort.
This book is life changing. It helps you see that God's perfect law cannot be overlooked when bringing people to Christ. The copy I received from my mother-in-law is the best gift (besides the give of salvation through Jesus Christ) I have ever received.
