I am reading "The Way of the Master" by Ray Comfort.
This book is life changing. It helps you see that God's perfect law cannot be overlooked when bringing people to Christ. The copy I received from my mother-in-law is the best gift (besides the give of salvation through Jesus Christ) I have ever received.
yes, the law is a good teacher showing us we cannot keep the law, we need grace through faith in Jesus

I use it all the time. It is really great how the Bible is so true when it says,

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:19-20

I spoke to a lady the other day who was very nice but she made a statement regarding 'christians' being so narrow. I gently took her through the Law, the bad news of how we all have broken it, then the good news, the Gospel, that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin on the cross. She totally stopped, and very calmly said that she had never heard that before and that it all seemed to make sense now. I very lovingly pointed out that the "narrowness" of Jesus is simply because He is the one who did it and now she knows why. She was blown away!

I gave her some tracts and a new book that I just started by Brian Broderson called, "The Uniqueness Of Jesus". I truly believe she is going to be saved. I am praying for her...her name is Kimberly, so you guys can pray for her too.

Anyway, back to the OP...the Law teaches us that we need a savior. It is awesome how God set that all up.
