Just wondering if any gamers out there get dizzy when playing some games? Any suggestions, cures, tips, tricks to reducing dizziness and/or nausea?

If you have an old style Monitor (like a TV) instead of an LCD, you might try checking your refresh rate. I find 60Hz gives me a headache and I can barely make out the flickering, while 75hz is fine (right click on desktop, properties, settings tab, advanced button, monitor tab to check). Sometimes the games have the settings themselves in the video options as well.

If you're playing in the light, try dimming the lights or just turning them off. Or vica verca. This will either give your eyes something else they can focus on and reference, or remove that something else (via lighting).

Sometimes playing with the Point Of View (POV) in the game's config file can help, though not all games allow that.

I'm sure there are other ideas from other people. I'm relatively immune to it though unless the refresh rate is too low.

When I played more games, Unreal Tournament and to a lesser extent Quake 3 Arena (dating myself) could make me a bit dizzy at times. Usually it would only occur when starting to play again after a prolonged period on non-play.

I never did anything to fix it, other than take short breaks. After a period of time playing it would always go away.

I think motion sickness medicine is the only fix. In my experience some people can handle the games and some people can't. It may be possible as well that you can get used to it if you play them enough just like one gets used to being on a boat for long periods of time.
