I have a few questions.
As I mentioned in a post on another thread, I am sort of technologically-challenged...
If there is anyone here who uses QuickBooks for non-profits on a regular basis, and you would not mind my asking you a few probably-stupid questions now and then, would you PM me??????
I work from home on a volunteer basis for a Christian missionary org, we are very small... and the frightening truth is that I am the most tech-savvy of us all. :shocked So it's not like I can call the HelpDesk.

But, I do use for my small business (which just happens to not make a profit!:lol2) If you go to Intuit's website they have a forum for users of each the different versions of QB and am sure you will be able to find answers to your questions. For all of QB's downfalls I have found their website and forums to be pretty helpful!
Have a blessed day!

I have used it for small business & for a non-profit. There really isn't much difference between the two programs. I will answer any question that I can!

Oh, thank you all so much!!! I will check out the Intuit website forum and see if I can find some answers there. Mostly my questions have to do with how to get donations to apply to specific income accounts (for example with missionary sponsorships, I can't seem to link the accounts I set up for missionaries in the chart of accounts to specific donations for them, there are classes and items but no accounts on the donation record page?).
Also I need to figure out how to set up online donations via credit card at some point.
Then there's the whole child sponsorship thing to set up once we build the school in Haiti, but that's a ways away time-wise, we are still working on infrastructure on the property and it will be awhile before we build the school.
I also need to figure out how to handle the end of year tax letters to our donors... I did them all "by hand" in Word last year but the Lord is blessing us big time this year and it would take me days and days to do it that way this December/early January... I know there's a way for QB to generate these form letters with donation info for donor tax purposes.
Anyway I'll see what I can find out on the Intuit forum (duh... thanks), and if I still don't "get it" I'll let you know.
Thank you, thank you!:hug
