When we get Raptured, I guess that would count as forgiving all our debts, but we would leave all our assets behind too. Except for what we have sent on ahead....our treasures in Heaven.

It all depends on how you got into debt. If you did stupid things like buy stuff on credit cards, then you would learn nothing by having the debt forgiven.

If you've ever tried to help someone out of debt who hasn't figured out the lessons, you know how futile it is. If you give them money to pay off the debts, it's not long before they are back in debt and knocking on your door for more help.

It's the same with any affliction like debt. It's called enabling and it doesn't help anyone involved.

Unfortunately this is true. There are wayyyy too many 'toys' that people in the Old Testament did not have. People are in debt because they are buying unnecessary toys.

Children's toys alone are outrageously expensive and for what worth? Electronic toys have spiraled out of control. Computers are outdated after a few years and computers are not cheap..even the cheapest of computers is at minimum $500..and it has virtually no capabilities if I'm not mistaken.

Clothes, shoes, also are very expensive and many people have to have more than 3 pairs of shoes.

Looks to me Judgment day is fast approaching...and we believers and disciples of Jesus must begin to pray fervently. There is a reason the Bible says "Pray without ceasing PRAY!"
