I have always loved the Christian music group Avalon. I've listened to them for years. Last night I was channel surfing and saw them onstage at a Benny Hinn crusade. They did just sing a song and sit down, either. They were on stage the whole time right in the middle of things. I love their music. I'm so disappointed they are involved in this.

Does Benny Hinn ever go to where the sick people are like in hospitals, nursing homes and hospice to heal them? I'm just wondering because I really struggle with the way that he always sets himself up in a giant stadium and makes this overtly grand entrance onto the stage. It's kind of funny but my husaband has only been saved for 6 months and we have never talked about Benny Hinn and the other day we were watching tv and a clip of Benny came on and my husband declared that he didn't believe the guy was real and that if he really could heal people he should go to the hospital and do it. I thought that was a pretty amazing statement for some one so young in the faith. He already has his discernment attanae up.

Actually millions of the sick have come to him to recieve Gods healing.Benny Hinn is just one of many vessels God uses to manifest His Glory.

Here some discernment ministries, some came out of the new age. They warn about British Israelism, replacement theology, glory cloud orbs, people teaching they bring God down and enthrone him, people who teach others to interact with their Angels, wof, dangers of predicting the rapture, 5 fold government prophets, third wave Latter Rain teachers, catholic contemplative mystics.

Man told he is a god, by Jesus. Man is god Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland teaching.

He is definitely at odds with Jesus, because Jesus said God called them ‘gods’, and the Scripture cannot be broken. Hunt is trying to break Scripture.
Someone might wonder if there is a danger in using this term. Well, there is a danger in using any term if it is not understood. I use this term to speak of two important facts about mankind: first that we are made in God’s image; we have God’s character and spiritually we have God’s genetic makeup—which is what re-gene-ration means. Second, I use this term to speak of man’s dominion over the earth. God gave dominion to man in order for him to rule. The term god is often used in connection with dominion. Even Satan is called "god of this age" (2 Cor 4:4), which means that he rules.
I am not aware of any true Christian using the term god to mean that we are the Creator as Dave Hunt implies. We are simply creatures made in God's image endowed with dominion; thus we are "gods" in that sense. Nothing else should be inferred.
Special note concerning Bill Humble. Later he writes to Tom Brown.
Thank you for your prompt response. I have studied John 10 as well as Psalms 82. In addition, I have studied I John 4:17, Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment. For as He is, so are we, IN THIS LIFE.
Also Peter makes known God’s promises in II Peter 1:4 that we are partakers of the divine nature. I was slow in incorporated the terminology "gods" in relation to us as Christians because of the "pride" it may produce in a person. But as I sought the Lord in this matter, I heard him say in my spirit, "How could you take any pride in being made a god by the work of Christ. If you were a god all along, then there might be room for pride. But you were made one when you entered into union with My Son. If you were a god that was not under any authority, then there would be room for pride. But you are a god under authority, for only I am Sovereign Lord." So, there is no room for pride, as the heresy hunter’s claim.

Lighthouse trails and the other discenment ministries do a very good job teaching why the church needs to be aware of the practices coming from new age, spiritual formation, of contemplative Emergent church, with it's global brain teaching inside the UN education system, which wants everyone to unite. Global brain comes from a contemplative priest Teilhard de Chardin. Below are a few teachings from the contemplative mystic global brain spirituality.

Is a a false teacher and a false prophet and will not be promoted on this board.

People need to arise from their slumber!!!

Isaiah 56:10
His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

John 2:16
And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”

Romans 13:11
[ Put on Christ ] And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

1 Corinthians 9:18
What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

1 Corinthians 15:34
Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

2 Corinthians 11:7
Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?

Galatians 1:6
[ Only One Gospel ] I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,

Galatians 1:7
which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

Galatians 1:8
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:11
[ Call to Apostleship ] But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.

Galatians 2:4-6
4 And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage), 5 to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
6 But from those who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man—for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me.

Colossians 2:8
Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

Ephesians 5:14
Therefore He says: “ Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

1 Thessalonians 2:4
But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.

1 Peter 4:17
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

2 Peter 2:3
By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

A couple of things bother me about him other than the fact that a singing group I love was up on stage with him.

1) It seems like when he's just "teaching", not performing at one of his crusages, he primarily just stands us there and asks the audience to repeat phrases after him, over and over again. I swear the guy can fill thirty minutes just asking the audience to repeat the same phrases over and over.

2) When he "teaches", he throws in just enough truth to make it sound like he's legitamate. He waits until he's got people hooked and drawn in to say something outrageous.

3) I have seen people claim to be healed at his crusades go offstage still limping and hobbling, and I'm pretty sure when God heals people, he heals them all the way.

4) One woman onstage who claimed to have just been healed just stood there wide eyed and put her hands on Hinn's face and just stood looking at him in complete adoration, and I never did see him correct her or tell her not to look at him that way. Oh, sure, you'll hear him say he's giving God the praise. But then he lets the healees stand there and fawn over him.

The guy just weirds me out.

Avalon makes their rounds on many of the shows on TBN. In my opinion TBN is reaking of apostasy! The only show I have found that is Biblically sound is Way of the Master.

Maybe Avalon feels it's there only way of exposure?? Maybe they care too much of woldly fame?

There are reports out there of "healings" he has accomplished, or perhaps has been God's conduit for such, that weren't healing at all as verified by medical follow up. There are also suggestions that some of the "healings" at times are pre arranged setups to dazzle the in house and TV audience, but not having proof of that, I will not state it as fact (yet).

I wonder sometimes if I were a sincere, unsaved person tuning in, how long I would have to watch to hear something basic about being a sinner needing repentance and salvation by grace via the shed blood of Jesus Christ and his resurection. Maybe I don't have that many weeks or months (or years!) to spare?
