For any motorcycle rider out there, I would heavily recommend you buy and install air horns on your bike. They're much more likely to save you from inattentive four-wheelers than would loud pipes.

These (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.bikerhiway.com/images/rivco/ahhd.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.bikerhiway.com/index.php%3Fmain_page%3Dindex%26cPath%3D29&h=80&w=95&sz=3&hl=en&start=9&um=1&tbnid=ash1sDPXz5DgPM:&tbnh=67&tbnw=80&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dnautilus%2Bmotorcycle%2Bair%2Bhorns%2 6svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26clie nt%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DaK2%26sa%3DN) are the air horns I had on my Harley dresser:

Those look pretty good, lots of chrome. I'm still 100% stock after having it 3 years from new. I'm about to get a new seat, however. The sun has pretty well baked the seat. I'm also about to get whitewall tires.

I knew I had a pic on my computer someplace, had to hunt through many 1000's of images on my computer (CG artist with comp full of renderings). Nasty pic though, just from my old digital camera in poor lighting.

Here is a factory image.

I wouldn't recommend this model for anyone with long legs, but it fits me perfectly since my legs are more on the short end yet while I'm still over 6ft tall. Low, wide and a good amount of power. Shaft drive and 2 in 1 pipes.

I ride a Honda Shadow Aero 750. Would love to get a Gold Wing one day.
I like Harleys but just wish the prices would be more affordable.

Novastorm, thats my bike! I am tall, 6'1 with long legs and I agree it is a bit too low to the ground but I just ordered a new seat which should help a bit.

I ride a 2007 Yamaha VStar Silverado.

I want a Harley, but I also love the Yamaha VStars - very happy with it.

Someday, I wish to own an American-made bike, but for now, I am more than happy with what I have!

Peace - Patrick

riding a 2006 Sabre and loving every minute of it. :yay
hey BlessHisName, your Biker church is pretty cool.. will chek out the website. a local church here, not my home church, has an annual Biker Sunday, coming up on 9/9/07 and it draws hundreds of bikers, and seems to be a good outreach ministry.. havent been before, but plan to go this time. RIDE SAFE!

Long ago and far away, I used to own a 1987 Harley-Davidson 1100 Sportster XL. I sold it when the wife became pregnant with our first child. I needed a new car worse than I needed the bike. I tell my son it is his fault I no longer have the Harley.:lol2 I wish I still had this as I believe the 1100 cc motor was only made that one year. In 1988, they went 1200 cc for the big Sportster motor. It was also the last year of chain drive and four-speed transmission on the Sportster. I have only seen one for sale used in the last several years. It may have been my old bike, I'm not sure. They wanted about twice what I paid for it new. One of these days, I'll have another Harley.

Any other Harley riders out there (or other motorcycle riders?). I ride a sportster (love it), and thinking about adding a Touring bike. I've been pleasantly surprised by the number of Christians I have come accross who share this interest.

Regards

Harley rider here Robbinson !!! 2004 Road King Classic--Lava Sunglo Red. I don't ride it as much as I like to (just turned 6000 miles) because of the business I own but when I get the chance to saddle up it is worth it. :thumb

I'm on my 4th HD. It's a 07 Electra Glide. I started with a new 76 sportster 30 years ago. Now is a very good time to buy a HD if that is what you want. The prices on used Hogs have been very good for a few years now. If you can buy in fall or winter so much the better. There are plenty of very nice jap bikes out there to look at too. I just sold a very nice aniversary softail for $9k with only 14k miles. So put few grand down and then finance a few and there ya go - your on a Hog.

Drive safe and keep shiny side up

Just been reading this thread and am proud to say I own an 88 Harley Davidson Heritage softail classic with very loud pipes(Vance Hines). I love the way it sounds and the pipes are a way to let other motorist know I am there and to respect my space. There is a saying that is on lots of bikers leather jackets, "loud pipes save lives". sorry if it offends some folks but I do not ride for transportation, I ride for pure fun and love it.
