Hi LynLyn,

My advice to you is to go and check out Perry Stone for your self. I support his ministry and will continue to do so.

I have read many of his books and listened to his tapes. They have been sound in doctrine.

Rather than agree or disagree with the Moderator I suggest you do your own investigation.

Perry only takes a set salary from the ministry as is right and resonable. All royalties from his books and stuff go back into the ministry for the production of his TV programs, missions he supports and prison ministry.

He teaches the Scriptures from a Hebraic perspective.

Pray and let God guide you to the truth.

God will judge those in His own House first as He has done.

You will find good people for and against Perry Stone and His ministry, so let God alone be the judge.

I would respectfully ask you if you believe the teaching about "the meal that heals"?? Thank you for your response. :hat

I'd watch out when it comes to Perry....there are many threads on here regarding Perry with many quotes from him that just don't seem right.......you'd do yourself a service to do a forum search and see what's been brought up on the board....there will always be die hard fans of preachers but it doesn't mean the preachers aren't deceiving (look how many people fall for Benny Hinn)....research, pray and let the Holy Spirit guide you and if the Holy Spirit makes a bell go off, listen! Teachers are slick these days.....

I have not studied this issue against the Word, which is what I would do before dismissing it as I take God's word as the truth not mans.

My reasoning for not rejecting it outright is because there are many mysteries in the Bible that we do not understand and all must be studied against the scriptures and prayed over for discernment.

So I cannot say one way or another what I believe about this teaching until I study it in the Word.

Being a Berean means to study to see what it says in the scriptures not what man says he thinks it means. In Hebrew 4:10 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I trust God to show me the entire truth, layer upon layer upon layer. If I get an impression of falseness then its my duty to take this up with Perry Stone for clarification or refutiation and correct the errancy of his teachings.

He (Perry) is having a live conference via the Internet on May 8th - the information is on his website. During that time you can email him questions to be answered on air.

I am not talking about the man or his motives. (His motives are God's business.) I am asking about the teaching that "communion heals", and particularly the 'meal that is offered'. I think we are indeed accountable for whom we promote especially in the light of a false teaching. Our "go along to get along" attitude can be a big hinderance to the Body of Christ. For years I listened to Perry Stone and slowly in the last few years there were too many bells going off in light of Scripture. I bless you in saying that we are to be Bereans, but there are no 'new revelations' as far as the Scripture is concerned. Blessings to you.:hug

:hug :scratch:scratch Why would you believe you might miss the rapture?

well I just wonder if someone does get decieved and follows a false doctrine like say, seventh day adventists or believes these guys who are trying to take people for money or believes everything has already happened by 70ad.I mean they are decieved ,will they still go in the rapture?I dont think I will miss it really becouse I love the living jesus and the God of abraham Isaac and jacob.I long for his appearing evryday!I just want to be cautious and I just like Perry Stone.I also like David Reagan.:armor

There are no new revelations in the Word? We know it all? There is nothing new to learn in the Word? Every layer, every precept has been discerned and learned?

Perry Stone has had fellowship with false teachers who espouse false doctrine.

While he may have some interesting takes on interpreting prophecy and the like, I do not believe that in and of itself allows one to support a person who has espoused false prophecies and continues to fellowship with false teachers and doctrines.

You may want to consider just staying in the Word for it is sufficient. You are not missing anything by not attending the conference -- in fact -- you are most definitely, at a minimum, protecting yourself from any taint of unbiblical teaching or fellowship.

The line is being drawn in the sand, on which side do you want to be?

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
