Everyone has the freedom to comment in these threads, except for those who abuse that freedom, or have to post in Apolo only because they are atheists.

Agreed. :)

Here's a good article that one can use as a starting point in helping to distinguish whether teachers might be promoting apostate/emergent/worldly teachings. :)

Many grand deeds have also been born of faith, for faith works wonders. Faith in its natural form is an all-prevailing force. God gives salvation to our faith because He has touched the secret spring of all our emotions and actions.[12]

Now what "heretic" would make a statement like that? Long before the so called New Age movement, and long before the popular Star Wars movies (long before movies, period), Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) made the above statement

Yes!

Does anyone remember Dwight Thompson? Did he have some sort of breakdown or something? I'm not sure if he is still preaching or not.

I thought about T.D. Jakes but hadn't gotten around to adding him. I was trying to keep it to those leaders everyone (nationally) has heard of.

It's not that I don't enjoy discussing others opinions but that wasn't the purpose of the thread.
The main reason I asked for mods/Admin is because the rules and basic premise of the board have been set by it's leaders not by us. It would be nice to know where the board stands on these matters. I want something even if it's just a rather semi-official list. Sing4Him has listed Beth Moore and Max Lacado. Why can't he/she tell us others who have been brought to light to have false teachings. He/she has obviously done some sort of research in that area. Why not give us a list and let me/us work from there?

I really don't want a big discussion where arguments start over "this person is" and "that person isn't". One person has already tried to start an argument because I raised an objection to a liberal news link.

What I would like is just a list of those which I mentioned in the first post who you've found to have some false teaching in their ministries which you feel have not been corrected by them.

Just pick out their names and list what the problem is ie mysticism, ecumenicalism, whatever. I will do my own research from there. Unless you have a really, really good link don't list it.
