Horus: The sun god of Egypt– False Idol and a myth.

This is an internet myth being spread that supposes that the story of Jesus was a rip off of Horus, when the opposite is true.

Please, read the facts on Horus before calling in with this nonsense.

In the myth, Horus was born to a female falcon hovering above a organ of a dead Osiris. And she happened to have relations with Osiris after he died.

Myth: Horus walked on water.

Truth:Horus never walked on water. He was thrown into it.
And Horus was not resurrected.

Myth: Horus is the sun god of Egypt.

Partially true - as with most Egyptian God/desses, he absorbed many characteristics throughout the mythical cycle.

Myth: Horus was born on December 25th

Wrong. birth of Horus has him born on the 31st day of the Egyptian month of Khoiak -- the mythers have a one in 365 chance that this matches Dec. 25th! Dec. 25th doesn't matter because no where in the Bible does it say Jesus was born on this day

Myth: Horus was also born of a virgin.

Truth: Isis was his mother, who conceived him after marrying her brother.

Myth: In the story of Horus, he was born of the star in the east,
and was adorned by three kings.

Truth: Where are you getting this from? I can see how he would be associated with the rising sun as his aspect of Haar-Pa-Kraat (Horus the Younger or Child), but I don't remember any mention of him being born of any star. And what three kings??? It is not metioned!

Myth: Horus was a teacher at 12 years old
and was baptized when he was 30, to begin his ministry.

Truth: Once again, where is the source for this? Egyptian Gods weren't baptized, Horus wasn't a teacher per se and he didn't minister...

Myth: Horus had 12 disciples who he traveled about with healing the sick, and walking on water.

Truth: Who are these disciples? Source please? Even in the Horus story he had four followers call Heru-Shemsu

Myth: He was called the lamb of god, the good shepherd, yada yada

Truth: Where are these epithets given? He has many aspects, but none of them refer to a lamb, shepherd, etc.

Myth: Horus was also crucified, buried for Three Days and then Resurrected.

I don't recall there being any crucifixion in the Egyptian mythos and we aren't sure if there even was a pharaoh that the Horus image stemmed from so how would we know what happened at his death? Do they take this from somewhere or just make it up?

There's plenty more to dismiss this comparison, but you get the point.

Just because you read a story on the internet does not make it true. Further more, Horus was from the family of false idol worship in the time of Baal. Believing in a bird headed god is not only ridiculous, but it is complete and utterly blasphemy aimed straight at Jesus Christ!

For these reasons, false idol worship that was talked about in the old testament.

Deuteronomy 7:25-26 (New International Version)

25 The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the LORD your God. 26 Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Utterly abhor and detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.

"You shall have no other gods before me.

4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

This commandment is important on many levels because God knew man would put false idols on a pedestal then, yesterday and today.

Horus and Baal; have been replaced with money, greed, kabbalah, and other self worship false religions.

So when I said on Saturday that the Horus myth was written after Jesus I was correct. The false bird idol was created under the false idol ba’al before Jesus, but the story was rewritten to be another false combat against Jesus Christ and Christianity.

Here are some quick FACTS about Christianity

The birth place of Jesus is not only a revered and holy landmark but it attracts millions of visitors yearly and there are thousands of photos you should check out online.

A couple of the Top ten most popular books of all time:

10. In His Steps: “What Would Jesus Do?” (http://www.kancoll.org/books/sheldon/)

7. The World almanac

4. The Guiness books of World records

And number one is the Holy Bible when Jesus Christ said to go out into the World and spread my name, the Christians did just that!

Even the liberal history channel gives the Bible credit as being the most accurate in timing and prophecy.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians1:6)

The Bible says in Matthew 24

For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. 22If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.
26"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. (hours was a bird)

29"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

Put your false idols away for good! Accept the Living God and His son Jesus Christ as not only real, but as your personal Lord and Savior. The evidence is all around you and He is knocking on your door!

Which has never proven a barrier to keep an atheist/pagan from re writing the truth with a lie.
