Have you tried the herbal stuff? We always use those first and most of the time don't have to go on regular antibiotics.
No, never have tried herb. Honestly, I would not know which herb would be the herb for any major illness. Not up on the herbs! Do you have a site or book you could recommend?

What about popcorn? I was driving back from getting a coffee and thought I should stock up on popcorn. I know its not much..but at least it would be something to eat, if you ran out of other things.

Did you know you can grind popcorn into corn meal?
I ordered a campfire popcorn popper and I've been stocking up on plain and microwave popcorn. It's high in fiber etc. (and Yummy!)

Yes, try the andrographis and the colloidal silver, and I forgot the other one again but it's in my older post. The links are there too.
I bought some of the fish antibiotics but it'd have to be a major emergency before I'd wanna use those! The ad said pharmaceutical quality, which I took to mean "Wink wink, humans can use it too" but still...
Thanks tygerkittn! I've had three doctors tell me they don't know what to give me...seems everything is related to each other.. cousins too, branch off ... etc. Its scary for me and sure scary for the doctors... they are afraid to give me something "new" that I've never taken due to all that I'm allergic to. It runs in my family, just us females are the only ones that are deathly allergic to all the antibiotics out here. :(

Never ever use medications past the printed date. It may be, that the medication is still stable, but there is no assurance.mWhen a medication degrades there can be side products which are detrimental to health.
Forget colloidal silver. It is true, that silver is antibiotic. It will work for incestines but not in the blood stream/organs. Silver is not one of the elements needed by the human body, so the human body has no absorption and transportation mechanism for it.
Do not stock wine, since alcohol in the wine will pull the water out of your cells.
Stock liquors with 60% or more alcohol. Drinking a sip of that before a meal will help stave off bacteria (worked for me everytime when going to foreign countries long distance, never had problems)

As far as I'm concerned, POPCORN is a STAPLE. It's a great way to stretch your meals and to fill hungry bellies, and it's CHEAP.
We have a camper's stove and I plan to use that mainly for popping popcorn. Just keep plenty of oil around and bags of kernels. (Coconut oil is the best for popcorn, but during hardtimes, any cooking oil will do.) No cleanup involved either. Just wipe the pot with a paper towel and it's ready for the next batch of popcorn.
What I use is an old pressure cooker that I inherited from my grandmother, but any large pot with lid will work.
This past Friday, my family went shopping and purchased 4 cases of bottled water and tons of canned goods. Realistically, if power shut off, and water was unavailable, it doesn't make sense to waste precious resources "washing dishes, and trying to cook with water, etc."
We plan to eat out of the CAN, so our grocery shopping consisted of canned soups, DintyMoore Beefstews, potted meats, corn beef hash, beenie weanies, and boxes of crackers. Also, COMFORT food. My husband (who's diabetic) has Atkins, sugar free chocolate coconut bars, and I purchased hard candies, tootsie pops, etc, for the family.
I think we are doing pretty good in getting a headstart in being "prepared"...
We also loaded up on toilet paper, paper towels, baby wipes, and matches/lighters, batteries.
My next list will consist of picking up another oil lantern, more wicks, bleach and some over the counter meds.

Good news! I just emailed Thomas labs, the makers of the fish antibiotics I bought (I got them from amazon but read up on them on several sites, they're pharmaceutical quality, it says) and they are NOT made in china, they're made in USA and Ireland.
I was just on flutrackers.com, bird flu is heating up, lots of suspected cases in Indonesia. It has my vote for the first major pestilence of the end times!
Wow, good price on peanut butter powder at that link for the popcorn. I'm gonna go back and browse (MUST...NOT...SPEND...gasp) For those with a Sam's club they have 50lbs of popcorn in a bag for $12.99, won't last as long as a bucket though. Also huge things of popcorn oil and seasoning pretty cheap. You can check the price at your local Sam's club by going to www.samsclub.com and choosing pick 'n click, you place the order online and pick it up there, but it also lets you check local prices and availability.

Thanks for the SAMS reminder on popcorn! I'm going to buy the 50lb next. (The cost is just a little over 25 cents a pound!) Do you know off hand the shelf life? (I would eat it stale, regardless, though.)
I did buy a 3 lb jug of ACTII buttery popcorn salt about 2 years ago, (still have lots left) and it's FAB on the popcorn!
