Well we tried to avoid having another child by using the ovulation calendar thing like the Catholics do. It didnt work too well for us but we love our 3rd daughter none the less. I prayed for yall to concieve a child if its Gods will. :)

I had trouble conceiving so we did use the ovulation calendar, as in I took my temp every morning to find out when I was ovulating. Yip it worked fine, thank you Lord!! :pray

if you have an idea of when you ovulate... take the test and go on a trip. even if it is just to a b&b for the weekend... don't "try" too hard - the stress makes a huge difference on a yes or no...

After our second kiddo, we just tried saying, "Boy, we sure can't afford another one any time soon."

Worked like a champ.

there is a book called "how to get pregnant"..it talks about hwo to tell when you are (and likely are NOT) ovulating. it makes alot of sense, and is easy to understand...no temperatures to take, no calendars to go crazy with...basically its all about fluid. if you want, pm me and i can give a quick synopsis of exactly what that means. i think it might be a bit too graphic for the board.

or you can just borrow the book from the library...=)

ps: i agree that stress will not help you conceive.

It helped us to chart my basal body temp. You have to use a basal themometer (you can buy one at Wal-mart or most drug stores). Check it before you get out of bed each morning and write it down. When you see it start to rise, you are ovulating.

Also, on Ebay, you can get a pack of pregnancy test strips along with ovulation strips that work like the pregnancy test strips. They are much cheaper than the ones in the stores. I've used those with success.

I also agree with the others. You may be trying too hard. Too much "fun" can lower sperm count too much. Every other day should be plenty because the sperm will life for a while once "in place".

Praying that the Lord blesses you with the baby you want so bad.
