Starryeyed, :heythere
Welcome to rr, nice to have you!
It is nice to learn from our brethren and be encouraged that others also feel the time is close (it's certainly closer than it was yesterday!)
Look forward to 'chatting' with you on the boards. And to all of us meeting at the :rapture
Shalom in Christ

Welcome starryeyed!
God Bless You, Welcome To Rapture Ready!:wave
Too many churches fail to preach hell fire and damnation for those who reject Jesus these days. Many people just want to have their ears tickled with happy teachings only.
See ya around Bro.:)

To fishersofmen, truetoyeshua, and No2flesh,
Thanks for your welcoming messages. I look forward to sharing in fellowship with all of you out there on the boards. I have seen many of your posts and been blessed by reading them.
You know the preacher really used to scare me sometimes during those h & d sermons when I was a kid, because he was such a nice man and good to his flock, but when he preached he really got fired up! I'm really glad for those "scary" sermons now. They helped lay a foundation for faith that helps see me through. I actually long for those kinds of church services today, and to hear about the rapture the way I used to in church back then!
See y'all out there!

Welcome, I relatively new myself and have found open, honest discussions without any problems even when we don't all agree. I thank God for this board and the wonderful Christians that are willing to share their knowledge and faith with each other. :yeah

Hi, Celticmist138, RachelsDream. and praisingHisname! Thank you all for the nice welcomes!
As for my user name, I've been using it for a couple years on the 'net. There's a couple reasons behind it. First, when I was little, my dad nicknamed me "Bright Eyes". I figured that would be used by lots of people, given that it's familiar from the song "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which coincidentally was my favorite song as a kid, and from the movie "Watership Down" that has a song called "Bright Eyes" in it.
So I thought about it, and used a lot of my interests to come up with it. I have loved astronomy since I was little, and would watch the skies at night to see the constellations and I was fascinated with the mythology related to them. As I got older I got into science fiction, first Star Wars, then Star Trek.
I also love all that old, stuffy literature taught in school, that nobody pays attention to...well, I did! I love poetry, and I wanted a name that sounded poetic, almost like Shakespeare himself would've picked. Thinking of descriptions like star-crossed lovers...I've always been a big dreamer, and since I felt like I had stars in my eyes...BINGO... starryeyedlad is what I came up with. "Lad" because I'm a guy, obviously!
I registered here as starryeyed for a bit of variation. I did leave it in my signature, though. I think it fits me pretty well: a dreamer with the stars in his eyes. I'm glad you like it. My family thinks it's weird, but what do they know?

Hello starryeyed! You chose well when you decided to enter this fellowship. Disagreement is never disagreeable. I am intrigued by your biography and your writing skill. I will be watching for your posts...I can see that they will be thought-provoking!
Welcome again...Marianne

To Momma D,
thank you for your kind words! Yes, I guess it's obvious that writing is a big passion of mine. I'm up at 3:30 a.m. posting! I just had a flash of inspiration regarding my username, one that hadn't occurred to me before. I've been "looking up" for the Rapture, and when it comes, maybe I won't just have the stars in my eyes anymore...maybe I'll be finally able to touch them.
Can you imagine an eternity to explore the heavens? It would be amazing if that is something we'll be able to do.
