Hi everybody!
Yes, I've been lurking around here for a couple weeks, and finally felt moved/compelled:poke to stop lurking and register. My name is Mike, I'm 34, and still single:lonely:hairout but I digress. I began going to a Southern Baptist (hellfire and damnation-preaching) church around the age of 5, was saved and baptised at 7, but began to stray around the age of 13. I've been through some rough times, and I'm so glad that I had such a stong, Bible-based foundation to see me through or I might have never made it. Even when I would stray, I would find myself drawn back to the reality of Jesus and be convicted of my errors. I still stuggle sometimes, but I keep picking myself back up and starting over. I refuse to give up with eternity on the line!
Lately, my sister and I have been watching the signs of the times and we both feel the Rapture could occur anytime. We are trying to spread this feeling to as many people as we can. Of course, nobody knows exactly when it will happen, but as Christians, we feel we should be ready for it ALL the time! We have had a lot of success so far, but a few people just don't seem to want to hear it:gaah:hairout (Good thing I have really thick hair!) We're not going to give up on them though, not while there's still time.
I hope that in this forum I will be able to share with others my thoughts and feelings and learn from others about topics of concern to all Christians in a love-based manner. I have always been wary of online forums, chats, etc. because they often degenerate into shouting matches and un-Christian like behaviors, at least in my limited experience with them. I am not comfortable with conflict; I prefer reasonable discussion.
