Creflo Dollar denies the divinity of Christ?

Creflo is not worth my time ever since I heard him spouting off on the radio 6 years ago about how you can tell how much a person loves God my how well they dress for church and if they are dressed real well, then you know they are going to show they mean it by putting more than their neighbors in the plate and then went on to relate how people encourage each other to love God more by competing over who gives the church more money. :tsk

I seriously thought it was a parody/comedy show on the radio. I was so mad I was hollering at the top of my lungs when I realized this turkey actually preaching this to people! :rant

Here's what little I know

I have Creflo's teachings from many years back about 12 or more. Those tapes are so totally in line with God's word.

They are teachings on books of the Bible like Matthew etc.

I had not listened to Creflo in many many years and 1 day I turned on his program and what I heard was so totally different from what he taught in his old tapes.

When I inquired about his old tapes, the "book store" at the church informed me they didnt carry those. I then heard about his 1. somthing million dollar penthouse in NY where a second church was formed.

My assessment is this: What he teaches now is not what he taught and believed back then that I saw. I never watched him again and was very saddened to see someone so on fire and right on with God, teaching step by step the gospel and then seemingly abandon that true teaching.

However, he is not the only one. How God deals with it must be left in His hands, we can but warn those who inquire about them, how their teaching is unscriptural and give them the correct teachings.

There are, sadly to say, others who are leaving the true and pure gospel message they once preached and have gone after and are now teaching false doctrines. :ohno


Teachers such as Dr. David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll and Max Lucado really have surprised me in their endorsings of false teachings. These are men that I thought at one time had such a good understanding of the Word that they would be the ones coming out and standing against all this new age teaching, so for them to be doing this makes me :scratch

A few years ago I bought a small book by Creflo Dollar, can't remember the name of it as I threw it out after reading it, in the book Creflo said that if Jesus was here on earth today he would drive the finest cars, have a million dollar home, etc.. :ohno

I knew right then and there that Creflo was a false teacher! Sorry I wasted $5 on his book

Question: Don't you guys think that pride is what goes before the 'fall'? I mean with all of us?

The only possible explanation I can muster as to why those who seemed solid would then turn would be pride.

Perhaps the others (can't speak for Creflo, heard him for 2 sec at my bil, and walked out the room!) somehow got their focus off of God. Got caught up in all the 'millions' hearing by radio/tv/internet, and then the enemy just slithered on in with "You are so good at preaching."/"People love to hear you talk"/"Look at all the 'stuff' you can acquire at the 'stuff mkt' - keep it up, you're great" - do you know what I'm trying to say?

It is a sobering warning in scripture that 'to deceive it were possible even the elect'...which is why we must remain humble before the Lord. Really aware that nothing good lies in us (flesh) apart from His Lordship in our lives. Recently, it occurred to me that if we are sealed by Him, we are protected by Him, because the Father gave us to Christ and no man can pluck us out of His Hand.

:hug yes I agree with this. Pride is our biggest downfall. We have to keep it in check on a daily basis, and watch for it rising up in us. Sometimes it can be right sneeky too :heh . Now if pride cause the lowly normal individual problems, imagine what it must to to those preachers in the limelight :fear All your fans going on about how wonderful you are on a daily basis? If your not strict on your self examination, satan will get in and go wild :ohno Before you know it, he's in control and not God. :twitch Its a very sobering thought indeed.
