Hi Greg,

Really excellent points about the evidence based presentation. I am happy to have heard this, its given me insight on how I might proceed with an unbeliver and the Bible in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to advise on this - I passed this along to my mother and she was (already) thinking along the same lines as what you suggested (great minds think alike!) Also, I am thankful for your prayers.
Thanks again for your time, advice and prayers, and welcome! I see you are sort of new here and I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I put this on my PDA for prayer on Thurs.

You can find more on this line of thought in an area of study called presuppositional apologetics. Some of the main writers have been vanTil, Bahnsen, John Frame. It isn't easy, although it is much easier if you can find someone who has studied it to talk to.

I just remembered a book on this subject I picked up a seminar early last month and have not read yet. "Every Thought Captive: A Study Manual for the Defense of Christian Truth" by Richard L. Pratt, Jr.
It is written at high school reading level (yeah, I know, "which high school?"), 142 pages. I just read the first 3 chapters, very accessible. Best intro to the subject for the layperson.
