the dip that comes with vegetable trays?

Every once in a while I buy the vegetable tray at Sam's Club... not so much for the veggie ensemble, but for the dip. Does anyone have a recipe for that dip that comes with most vegetable trays? I love the stuff but can't find it apart from the vegetable trays.

There is a similarity to ranch dressing. But there is enough difference between the two to make me covet the dressing that comes with the vegetable trays, but not ranch dressing...

We get those platters all the time. That dressing is delicious. I asked my wife what was in it but she doesn't know. She's usually pretty good figuring that stuff out. Sorry.

I know the dip you are talking about. It's kind of like a cross between ranch dressing and french onion dip. I would just start playing with ingredients. Buy the packet of ranch dip powder, maybe an onion dip powder, some sour cream...start testing different combinations.

When I make tzatziki, I flavor plain yogurt with dill, garlic, lemon juice and shredded cucumber. It's not the same as the veggie tray dip, but it's good.

I mix Ranch with sour cream and everyone LOVES it. It is thicker and has a little ZING!

I love tzatziki, but have never had any in the states that tastes anywhere as delicious as when you're in Greece proper, nor have I been able to make it well enough to give it justice (but I've only tried once).
