Texas threatened to break off from the Union some years back, I wonder what would have happened if they succeeded.
Funny you should mention that. I just finished watching Michael Badnarik's Constitutional class for Patriots. About seven hours long but you can google it.

Who, speaking for the State of Texas, threatened to secede exactly?
I am not aware of any serious threat, by anyone in a position to make such a threat.. but I suppose some random State Legislator could of said something, but I don't think that would qualify as "Texas threatened to.."

-TedHappened around 10 years ago, it was during Clinton's administration. If it had happened, and there was a lot of support for it, it would have been the second time Texas had seceded from the Union, the first time being in 1861.
