I'm brand new and have been having a recurring problem in posting. I'm typing away in the reply boxes, and then if I touch any link on the page even slightly my whole message goes away; pushing the back button on my browser doesn't help, either. I've had to retype some things over several times. Like I said, I'm new at this so it's probably something I'm doing wrong...
Thanks

I get this every now and then. Don't know why?

Try right clicking on the link and say "Open in New Window" and see if that helps. Also setting your cookie's settings to less than High helps.
What browser are you using? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape??

I'm using Internet Explorer too. I'm not trying to open a new link, it's like as I'm typing I accidentally brush my finger against a stray key and my message goes away. I guess there's no "auto save" type feature like in Word, is there? Oh well. Maybe it's a hardware issue with my laptop. Thanks anyway.

I do a 'select all' (CTRL + A) and then a 'Copy' (CTRL C) when I've finished typing my messages. For longer messages I do it a few times so I've always got it temporarily saved as a 'Copy' ready to paste. If I lose my reply I then can do a 'Paste' (CTRL V) and restore it.
It's the way I get around this problem. Certainly gets rid of the frustration.:gaah

You also might want to type your post in Notepad or Word or whatever program you have and then paste it in. That way if something happens, you still have the post and can redo it.
