Sure this has been stated many times here,
but the key is "when you see all these things"
not after they've finished. All the signs of
Matthew 24 are in progress. The Rapture will
be on an inconspicuous day as it would fulfill
what Jesus said "at an hour you do not expect"
Luke 12:40
IMHO, not on the day the IDF bombs Iran etc.
and everything goes haywire from there on out.
Suppose it could be, but I think it's one of the main
clues as to just how close it is. :nod

Is Jesus coming back soon? The season that we are in, is this the Season Jesus described? My husband asked me last night, "How soon is soon?" :idunno

As soon as it is the appointed time, and I hope that is very soon.

Sure seems like we're in the end "season" and I hope we're gone soon!
2 Timothy 3:1-5
1You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. 2People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything that is good. 4They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure. 5Even though they will make a show of being religious, their religion won't be real. Don't have anything to do with such people.
2 Timothy 4:3-5
3The time is coming when people won't listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear. 4They will turn from the truth and eagerly listen to senseless stories. 5But you must stay calm and be willing to suffer. You must work hard to tell the good news and to do your job well.
1 Timothy 4:1
1 The Holy Spirit clearly says that in the last days some people will leave the faith. They will follow spirits that will fool them. They will believe things that demons will teach them.

I, too, feel we are near. I want to say "very near", but only God knows. So much has happened since :dohbama took office. But the other signs have really had me "looking up" (earthquakes, evil being called good and good being called evil, more UFO sightings in Russia and all....). I believe our Lord is at the door. The trumpets are being lifted.... Pleeeeeeease Lord! Come quickly!:pray
Speaking of UFO's, I recently read/heard that UFO sighting really started becoming prevelant around...guess what...the rebirth of Israel! I believe these 'UFO's' are demons, and that they started more activity after they saw the rebirth of Israel because they knew the clock started ticking. Just more possible evidence that makes me believe we ARE the generation, and will see the glorious appearing of Jesus very soon!

There doesn't seem to be a consensus here that Jesus was saying the generation that saw the re-birth of Israel would also see the second coming. However, I've heard Grant Jeffrey and other prophecy teachers say that is what Jesus was saying.
So, would it be better to consider the re-birth as the beginning of birth pangs? Would it be wiser to look at all the signs that point to the tribulation being close? I know there is a lot of evidence all around that Jesus could be coming very soon, but I'm trying to establish if one can definitively say as a fact that we are the generation from what objective scripture reveals.

Honestly, I think there have been birth pangs all along but never at the intensity and speed we are seeing them now.
The book of Revelation tells us there will be a blessing for those who read and study this book and much of Revelation is in other parts of the Bible.
God didn't leave us without guidance.
We just have to remember. His ways are not our ways and it's all in His hands. Just look up everyday because we seriously don't know when.
