Fist things first...she is using NIV...to me that is wrong it has been edited by man..remember God said....
REV:18 "For I testtify unto every man that hearth the words of prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.
REV: 19 "And if any man SHALL TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of prophecy, God shall take his part out of the of life, and out of the holy city, and from things which are written in this book.
To I anyone using any bible, but the KJ is using a bible that "TAKES AWAY".

I haven't heard her mention anything about which version of the bible to use. I have seen this however:

She was saying that the "once saved always saved" argument is just that......an argument. It's a 'man-made' term that is no where to be found in the bible and it is devisive to the body of Christ.
The bottom line is people want to know IF they are truly saved. She gave a couple examples from the bible of how God views (will view) those who claim to be "saved" and their actions/deeds. This isn't her words, your words or my words, but it's God's words. We are saved by grace, but faith without works is DEAD.
These characteristics of a true Christian is far from being a 'works salvation' my friend. It comes from a heart that has been 'born again' of the Holy Spirit. It is ...........love.........and it is the WILL of the Father.
I pray when the Lord returns he will find us all busy doing the Father's will. God bless! :hug
Very well said! Very VERY well said!

Could anyone explain why the NIV is particularly bad in terms of superimposing the authors' ideas (and why it's worse than, say, the NRSV?) Ultimately, whatever translation you use, in cases of doubt you need to compare it with other translations and/or research the original Hebrew/Greek.

I agree with you. These are some of the ways one can know if they're saved, if these works come out of them. But it's dangerous to look at our works to answer this question for us. And it's dangerous to preach this way. How many people will go out, based on these teachings, and do "stuff" to make themselves feel better....feed the poor, visit the sick.... instead of listening to the Spirit of God in them saying, "you haven't committed to me, you forgot to make me your Lord, saying a prayer, saying sorry for sins, and doing good works doesn't make you mine...." But not everyone who is saved will haves these works anyway. Some just never get there in their walk and we shouldn't judge them. And again, she quoted scripture out of context. We will not be judged at the sheep goat judgement. That is not how our works will be looked upon by God. I really do get the jist of what she was saying, but the jist isn't enough for me when you're quoting the Word of God out of context. She wants us to stop having arguments ABOUT OSAS and just apply God's word to ourselves, I get it, hooray for the lady. The OSAS argument is a vital one. It has to do with whether or not we think God is an indian giver. I'm sorry, the lady obviously has a good heart, but this one she got wrong IMHO.

I humbly submit that your argument is with the scriptures because all she is doing is presenting scripture in the light of the question and if one listens with a love for the truth rather than protecting our personal conclusions - the truth does come through very very clearly in this presentation.
Please try listening to it again and pray over the scriptures she presents and see if you don't see it differently.

The bottom line is a person knows whether or not they've been 'born again' of the Holy Spirit. They know whether or not the Holy Spirit is in them and working in their life and through them.
I agree with her that the man-made phrase of OSAS is devisive in the body of Christ. So many folks today are looking for someone to tell them or confirm for them whether they are saved or not. If one is saved and claims to be a Christian then they need to be about the Father's business. Actions often speak louder than words. I sure do want the world to see Jesus in me. :)
