View Full Version : Once a Sheep Always a Sheep, or Salvation Deficit Disorder?

1) Bema Seat of the Raptured
2) Separation of sheep and goats of the tribulation remnant at Second Coming.
3) Great White Throne judgment of the lost at end of Millennium.
Ditto what Buzzard said.
We have ONE hope, and ONE hope only.
Our hope is " what was done on the cross was enough"
Our walk, or works will NOT get us there.
Its what HE has done for us.

I humbly submit that your argument is with the scriptures because all she is doing is presenting scripture in the light of the question and if one listens with a love for the truth rather than protecting our personal conclusions - the truth does come through very very clearly in this presentation.
Please try listening to it again and pray over the scriptures she presents and see if you don't see it differently.
:shocked How is my argument with the scriptures? She quoted something out of context to apply it to her point. Not protecting anything. You're accusing me of not loving the truth, while you're protecting this woman who just very plainly quoted God's word completely out of context saying Christians would be judged at sheep/goat judgement. I am not protecting any personal conclusions. Please don't make unfounded accusations against me. My suggestion would be that you listen again. How can you listen to somebody mistreat the Word of God in this way and protect it? She says that if we accept forgiveness, but then do not forgive someone else, that God will put the sin of unforgiveness back on "the books" She literally says that. Are you kidding me? Put it back on the books!!!! So our sin is forgiven, but only if we forgive, or else it's not forgiven. How is that Biblical? Emily Ruth, you can accuse me of not loving the truth all you want, I could care less because I know where I stand with God. But please don't protect people who mis-use God's Word like this. I want to put the huggy smiley face here so you know I'm not angry with YOU, but I am indignant about this misuse of God's Word and people here protecting this, so no smiley face for now. Come on, how many of you really listened to this whole thing before you commented?

Matthew 6:12 (King James Version)
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matthew 6:14 (King James Version)
14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 6:13-15 (King James Version)
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

So, as long as we don't sin, our sins are forgiven. Why did Jesus die for us? You guys just have to be kidding me with this stuff. Forgiving others of their sins is the result of salvation which hopefully shows up at some point in our walk. It's not a condition of salvation.

It's through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to abstain from and turn away from sin. Are we perfect? No, not yet......but we will be someday when we're with our Lord. :yeah
Jesus didn't die so we can sin as we please. We all are born with a sin nature because of Adam and Eve and we need a saviour.

Yes, Jesus did not die for us because we sinned, He died because we sinnnnn, as in we will continue to sin. Nobody said anything about a license to do whatever we please, don't bring that into it, that might be a sign that one is not really saved (only a possible sign). Once we are saved, God does not put our sin back on the books. That is ridiculous.

Amen to this!

I haven't heard her mention anything about which version of the bible to use. I have seen this however:
Whose Interpretation Of The Bible Should We Believe?

It doesn't really matter what translation is being used...the message IS the same either way. If the two translations get to the same point, what's the problem in this case? Before you flame me fo rthis, I agree that the KJV is probably the best version out there...but I prefer the NKJV becuase of the thees & thous...Does that make my prefered translation any less genuine?

:ohno
You best compare the NIV to the KJ you'll see they did TAKE AWAY some of God's words...they water it down....God is not happy with them changing his words..why do you think God said that in Revelation?

When a Christian sins it's not just overlooked by God. We need to seek his forgiveness. Sin is abhorred by God period.......whether it be intentional or unintentional.

The bible does indeed give instruction for Christian living. Again as the video was referring to forgiveness............
Matthew 6:13-15 (King James Version)
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14For (if ye forgive) men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15But (if ye forgive not) men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
This is God's word.....not her's, mine or your's. If you have an issue with it you seriously need to talk to God about it. I mean this in a spirit of gentleness. :)
