Chris, think about it. Anyone who willingly 'gives up God' cannot know Jesus. And if they do not know Jesus, then they were never really saved to begin with.
100knight, I think this is what may have got you thinking that some were saying that if you believe you can lose your Salvation that you're going to hell, but I'm pretty sure and can almost guarantee you that that is not was Anddra was insinuating at all....but I do think there is some credibility to what she posted, think about it...who would walk away from God's Grace and who would give up their Salvation (based on the idea that you think we have a choice to give it up because we have free will)......someone who TRULY KNOWS Jesus as their Savior and TRULY KNOWS God's awesome saving power and TRULY KNOWS what God is saving them from.....WHO would walk away from that? The only thing that woudl make sense to me is someone who doesn't truly know the Lord. (sorry for sounding harsh but this is my belief :sad)

About giving them a king, no?
This raises another question. How are me and your husband to be judged? Judged by our beliefs or through OSAS?
Judged (by the Lord, not by anyone else) by your belief in God's Grace alone. Your Salvation is based on your belief in Christ's work on the Cross, not whether you believe you can lose it or walk away from it or not. If my husband continues to believe he can lose his Salvation he's still going to Heaven (because he believes in God's Grace alone as the way to Heaven) but I feel bad for him that he worries about losing his Salvation.

No, that's not where I got it from lol.

This is reassuring. Thanks. :pray

So wait, do you guys believe that people who don't believe in OSAS are going to hell?
Anyone who is saved but doubts their salvation is still saved and will not go to hell.
Indeed, their salvation is just as secure as the saved person who is certain of it in their own mind.

People who believe in Jesus go to Heaven, regardless of whether they believe in OSAS. But, if after someone has been given the biblically valid reasons for why you are saved always, and they reject that and continue to think you can lose your salvation, then it might be justified to wonder if they really have ever understand saving faith in the first place.
What is really behind rejecting OSAS is, to one degree or another, a reliance on human works and human effort, and that skirts dangerously close to thinking you are saved by your works, which is not salvation at all.
Titus 3:5 (King James Version)
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost
Rom 4:5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,
Rom 11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.
Gal 2:16 nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
No one who has trusted in Christ Jesus for salvation will go to Hell, not because that person is good at staying saved, but because Jesus is good at keeping us saved!

I believe in once saved always saved. But there had always been a few scriptures that would trip me up, so I doubted this somewhat.
Then I found this sermon by Pastor Billy Crone to be very helpful. He backs everything up with scripture.
It's a two part series. It sure did help me with any doubts I had.
God bless you as you watch these videos!

You can reject God after you have been "saved". It's a lie of the devil that maske people twist this once saved always saved mentality. So let's say that I was saved at 20 then after a year or so I decide that I don't want to live a christian lifestyle anylonger and I denounce my faith and belief in God. And I live another 40 years full of sin and on my death bed I reaffirm and confess that there is no God. Am I still saved ?
My point is that we can walk away from God, he will never walk away from us,he will always be right there if we decide to return to Him, but nevertheless we can reject salvation.
