Hello All! :wave
I am reading A divine revelation of Hell by Mary K Baxter. I just finished reading one of her other titles A divine revelation of Heaven. Has anyone read either one of these? What do you think of them or her? I liked the Heaven. The hell one makes me sad for all the lost souls. It has also freaked me out a little bit. I want to know, if I stay walking in Christ but I commit a sin, (even though I repent and ask for forgiveness) will I go to hell? Is it possible? I want to do everything I can do to not go. Can I go to hell for not trying to bring enough souls to Christ?

In the Holy Scriptures. You really should just read that one book and when you have the firm foundation of the doctrines of Christ, then you can read other literature and compare if it is in the Word of God, whether it is truth or lies.. Read the New Testament and a Psalm a day, a Proverb a day. Study the New Testament and know the words that declare all of the correct teachings of God so that you will be able to stand . Once saved no one can pluck you out of the Lord's hand. I hope this helps you..

Did these questions you have arise from reading her books? What does that tell you.
No man has gone to heaven or hell and came back and wrote a book. The account of rich man in hell, and Christ coming down from heaven, are all you need to know, the Lord put that in a book you can get for free. Whatever her claims are, they are not true. Reading stuff like that will only confuse you more. Stick with scripture.

Anything that causes you to question scripture is clearly of Satan and not of God. Jesus did everything required for you to go to Heaven. Our works have no bearing on the outcome.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

When David says: 11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Psalm 51:11, does this mean that it can happen? Is it possible to blaspheme the Holy Spirit while being a believer? I have read that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is rejecting Jesus (the unforgiveable sin) and that a believer cannot commit it, and if youre worried about it youre probably ok, but doesn't blasphemy mean that you speak bad of or take in vain? I have never really understood this. Thanks!

NO....THE LORD WILL NOT REMOVE HIS SEAL from the PURCHASED ,BLOODBOUGHT BELIEVER in JESUS...THE HOLY SPIRIT IS WITH US ALWAYS,JUST LIKE THE FATHER and THE SON....HE is not a "power" although HE IS POWERFUL and gives POWER,HE IS GOD,THE SPIRIT....in US,with us,upon us...for ETERNITY,hallelujah...
David was not THE CHURCH,THE CHURCH IS THE BRIDE,HE IS GOING TO PERFECT US,we cannot otherwise, just like we cannot save ourselves....
Yes,ok,we can QUENCH THE SPIRIT by living carelessly, indulging in sins etc..etc...BUT,THE HOLY SPIRIT will nudge us,convicts us,until we admit we are sinning and reestablish the broken communion CONFESSING it to GOD and letting HIS BLOOD wash away it and remove the iniquity .....I mean..
it is late,I could give you bible references,it is late here sorry 2.26 am ...BUT I want to leave you with a word of JESUS: I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU,I WILL NEVER FORSAKE YOU,I WILL BE WITH YOU TILL THE END OF THE AGE......so,GOD is INDIVISIBLE and HE IS NOT ANGRY with us THE BRIDE,HE always will make sure we get RIGHT CORRECTION if we go astray and right DISCIPLINE ( which comes from DISCIPULUS =student in LATIN,so WE LEARN BETTER and learn TO AVOID SIN....it is THE WORK of THE SPIRIT TO LEAD US to THE LORD JESUS and take us in THE RAPTURE...alll one has to do IS TO MAKE SURE TO BE SAVED,and that happens to CALL ON THE NAME of THE LORD,REPENTING (TURNING) to HIM and BELIEVE in JESUS and HIS FINISHED WORK on our behalf....IT IS BY GRACE,THOUGH FAITH,it is HIS GIFT =SALVATION,ETERNAL SALVATION and also THE GIFT of THE HOLY SPIRIT...God DOES NOT TAKE BACK THE GIFT(s) HE GIVES TO HIS SON's BRIDE US!!!!!
PRAISE THE LORD!!!

You can argue that it generaly means 'rejecting Jesus', but that kind of goes without saying, IMO.
Personally, I think the 'unforgivable sin' was something specific to the people present there with Jesus, actually witnessing His miracles first-hand. Specifically, to attribute the works of the Spirit to Satan; to deliberately lie about what they knew to be true and to do it as representatives of the people.
Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed him, so that the mute man spoke and saw. All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, "This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?" But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons." And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. "If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? "If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges. "But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. "Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. "He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. "You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

In the Old Testament the Holy Spirit did not indwell believers. We see him removed from Saul when he was king.
New Testament believers in Jesus Christ are now indwelled by the Holy Spirit. He is our seal. If one is a true believer, He does not leave. We can grieve Him when we sin and we need to confess our sins to be restored to fellowship with Him, but He is always there.
Ephesians 1:13-14 "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation..having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, the the praise of His glory."
