I have the most amazing wonderful husband!
I just have to brag on him for a second and tell you what he did for me. We have been married for 5 years (we have known each other for 18 years though and he is my best friend) and we moved 1000 miles away from my family about 6 months after we got married. My dad is 72 years old and not in the best of health. He can't travel anymore because he honestly is afraid that he will run out of oxygen (He has COPD) so he hasn't been up here in 2 years. It's been almost a year since I have been home. Mom comes up about once a year without him but she doesn't like it much. I understand that though. She just wants to take care of dad.
Gas prices and high airfares are making it rough to go anywhere for us!
Well... yesterday DH was looking and found nonstop flights for us from here to there for less than 200.00 apiece. So he bought them. For 4 of us, yes it's a nice chunk of change but I'm going home to see my Daddy. I can't tell you how much it means to me! :yay :yeah :yay :yeah DH and I had talked about trying to get down there but hadn't really made any plans.
He was just doing something that he knew would make me happy.
I won't get into how I ate something that I'm allergic to and my face broke out and got swollen and looks all wrinkly but he still thinks I'm the most beautiful woman he's ever seen..
I really love my husband. He's so good to me. Thanks for listening (reading).
