Sometimes picking my brain and focusing only on what I am grateful for about my husband can change my entire attitude completely. I can choose to obey Philippians 4:8 or I can be miserable.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

My husband is a wonderful provider.
My husband is growing in the LORD.
My husband is a superb father.
My husband can do anything in this house.
My husband tells me I am beautiful every single day.
My husband brings me flowers for no reason.
My husband is kind to old people.
My husband is a giver.
My husband embraced being a step-father without a second of hesitation.
My husband is changing his ways.

I love him.

:yay I love this thread already. A wonderful DH is such a blessed gift from God!

I could say all those as well about my DH. I forget most of the time that he is not the biological father of our eldest. He adopted her when we got married, she was 2 years old then. He's the only daddy she's ever known and he's a great dad to all of our kids. Plus I'm so proud of what a hard worker he is and his service to our country in the army.

I could go on and on about him but I'll give someone else a chance to brag. :hat

My husband is making bacon right now to go with our waffles.
My husband goes to the store when I feel too lazy to do so.
My husband comforts me when I'm low or sick.
My husband strives to know the Lord.
My husband works hard at his job so that we have enough to live comfortably.
My husband is working hard with me to make our relationship happy and loving.

My husband makes me laugh

My husband is a great cook and house cleaner and isn't afraid to help me out in these areas when I need it!

My husband is an incredible father and his children adore him!

My husband is my best friend!

My husband loves the LORD!

My husband is a very hard worker!

Thank you for starting this thread! In the Ladies Titus2 group I attend they really work on changing our focus from his weaknesses to his strengths and it really makes you appreciate your man. This week she said something that at first got a laugh and then a hushed silence:

Ladies, think on the good things about your husband and write them down! Look at your list all summer until we meet again, I know some of you will roll your eyes and start your list:


(said sarcasticly) He's breathing. (roaring laughter)

(said seriously) What if he wasn't. (hushed silence and wows)

That really made all of us think. Anyway, sorry if that was a thread downer. But it really is important to thank God for your husband even when you are angry with him.

Here is my list.



My Husband is a good provider.
He is a wonderful Father.
He shows and tells me he loves me, often.
He is humble.
He is a good listener and gives me awesome advice.
He does the dishes.
I feel safe when he is around.
He is quick with an apology when he knows he has hurt me.
He is a good friend to others.
He is a good son to his mother.

My DH made bacon and waffles this morning, too....:)

Wow, Seemom. I don't see it as a thread downer at all. It really stops you in your tracks to see things that way. Thanks for sharing!
