You meet the nicest people on a Honda
(Honda motorcycles)

Sonny Barger of the Hell's angels was once being interviewed on the radio. He told the interviewer, "When you turn on your radio and hear "You meet the nicest people on a Honda", we ain't the ones they're talking about".

I don't wanna grow up, I'm a toys r us kid
There's a million toys at toys r us that I can play with
From bikes to trains to video games
It's the biggest toy store there is...gee whiz
I don't wanna grow up, cause baby, if I did
I wouldn't be a toys r us kid

This is memorable to me, because we found out that one
of my DIL's did a commercial when she was about 8 (around
the same time as Jaleel White did one...she knew him from the studio)
After she and my son were married, Toys r Us decided to do a then and now
version of the commercial, which started with them as kids and segued to them
as adults. It was exciting and a very cool concept!

Wow, that last one MommaD sure brings back memories from Christmas time....

Well, here is another I remembered, but I had to look up the words, it was the Coca-cola theme for their "Its the real thing" campaign:

I'd like to buy the world a home and furnish it with love,

Grow apple trees and honey bees, and snow white turtle doves.

I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony,

I'd like to buy the world a Coke and keep it company.

[Repeat the last two lines, and in the background:]

It's the real thing, Coke is what the world wants today.

The original 1954 Roto-Rooter jingle lyrics:

Roto-Rooter is quick first aid/for clogs, sewers and stopped up drains
The wonderful Roto-Rooter machine/twists and turns and shaves lines clean
Call Roto-Rooter, that's the name/and away go troubles down the drain
Roto-Rooter/Roto-Rooter
Call Roto-Rooter, you will see/how quick your drains are trouble free

I wasn't on Earth for this version but I can't quite remember the 1970s version.
