And the shaking goes on. This is now three UTC days in a row with a 6.0 or over quake. Fortunately they have caused little or no damage. The Brazil quake was too deep and the atlantic ridge quake is too far from land.

You know.......we know these things are happening because we are watchers, but the media says next to nothing about these events. Most people know nothing about whats going on geologically or atmospherically. Boy are they in for a shock when things get too big or frequent to ignore, and they won't be able to connect the dots to end time events. So sad.:sad

I think you are corect caligal for the most part but my daughter who is saved and is a solid believer but not a prophecy buff nor a news watcher did comment to me this weekend about all the "crazy" stuff going on with the weather, volcanos and earthquakes. All that to say I do believe many people are becoming aware that what is going on in our world is certainly not the norm and are even wondering if this is end times related.

It looks like we are still having mild days with an occasional 6.0 plus event. Today is the third day in a row with a 6.0 plus event but otherwise still a low level of overall activity. As I am known to say, when will the other shoe drop.

For a comparison I went back to the day I
described the color coding as looking like
an explosion in a paint ball factory and ran
an average on it and it was 3.74 All the
small quakes keep the average down so a
small change in the average is a sign of a
lot more high magnitude activity.

TOKYO (BNO NEWS) — A strong earthquake struck southeast of the Ryukyu Islands on Wednesday afternoon, seismologists said. No tsunami warning was issued and there were no immediate reports of damage.

The 6.1-magnitude earthquake at 5.53 p.m. local time (0853 GMT) was centered southeast of the Ryukyu Islands, or 240 kilometers (150 miles) east of Naha, the capital city of the Japanese prefecture of Okinawa. It struck about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) deep, making it a shallow earthquake, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, which did not issue a tsunami warning, initially reported the strength of the earthquake at 6.7 on the Richter scale.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, and neither are they expected as the earthquake epicenter was located far from land.

It is still being listed at 6.4 on the USGS site. But this is 4 consecutive days with a 6.0 or higher quake. Fortunately they seem to be missing population centers and causing little or no damage. But where will the next one strike?

There were also two 5.0 quakes in the Savu Sea area within a couple of minutes of each other.

Yogi, what do the initials UTC stand for?

Universal Coordinated Time. Yeah I know, they have the initials out of order.

The new UTC day starts at 8:00 PM eastern time and it is that day I post to since that is how the data is parsed.
