I'm in agreement with you all...it's just way too quiet today!! That list is so short in comparison to the days past.

Yeah, but it was easy to post. :hehee

OK, I wish the people at the USGS would get off their lazy duffs and keep their site up to date. I waited until almost 1-1/2 hours into the new UTC day to post my update. I just went back to the site to see where we stamd so far today and 4 of yesterday's listings were downgraded to under 2.5 and taken off the list.

Am I going to have to start being a full day behind the USGS listings to make sure the data is correct???????

I think they are as worried as we are.

Only two 5.0+ events today. A 5.5 in figi and a 5.1 in India. China, which has had some heavy activity recently has popped back up with two events in different parts of the same region.

The overall activity continues to decline slowly as we wait for the "other shoe" to drop. And we know it will, it just can't seem to stay this quiet for long.

Activity in Alaska has returned to normal and no longer dominates to U S, Alaska, & Hawaii list. Lets pray that this slow streak stays that way for a good long time. As i said in an earlier post, when it comes to earthquakes "boring is a good thing".

Well, let's just enjoy this quiet while we can! It gives yogi and zerozx a chance to kick back a little, and we can all just chat about other things while we are in between the pains. So...my day was painful and I'm glad it's over! Painful because I'm having some kind of muscle spasm in my back and could only crawl to the bathroom this morning. I'm sure I looked really cute! The pain has moved up my back now...which seems weird! Then tonight the fam couldn't get along. Fun everywhere you looked! Praying for a better day tomorrow! And how did your day go? Not trying to derail...just filling in during the quiet times....:spam

There is quiet, then there is too quiet, after that we get to scary quiet. We are at scary quiet right now unless the USGS people all drank some spiked koolaid and fell asleep. It is a little over 7 hours into the new UTC day and there are only two quakes. :fear:panic:twitch :shocked :pray:pray

Follow up to last post...

It is now 13 hours into the UTC day and there are only 12 quakes recorded. That is less than 1 quake every 2 hours. I have never seen activity this low.
