Anyone here from Corning, NY area? Anyone HS in NY?

Hi Everyone,

Due to a job offer, we are thinking about relocating from Western PA to Corning, NY.

We HS, but our kids participate in band and sports in public school. I already looked on the HSLDA site, we probably wouldn't be able to do that anymore (it's up to the individual schools to allow children to participate in extra-curricular activities).

Anyone from that area to know about churches/youth groups etc?

Corning, NY? Wow.....I lived there from 1978-1983, but haven't been back since (sorry I can't help you, but your thread caught my attention). Welcome to the board!! I'm sure it's changed a lot since I was there!!

Bit of an old thread I noticed....

I used to post here (different name) but havent been around in awhile.


Anywho, I was homeschooled most of my school life, and I am from Elmira (about 20 minutes from Corning)....

I was never involved in it, but there is a local homeschool group.

I don't know a lot, but if there is anything I can do to help, ask!
