Wonderful post. I feel the same way.
Israel, which Zechariah the prophet said would become a burdensome stone and cup of trembling to the whole world, is already, in this pre-tribulation era, exactly that at this juncture in the geopolitical scope of things. The Jewish state is at the center of a call for peace that is unlike any such call in history.
Yes, Israel is God's timeclock.

I truly believe we are in the last days and evil is increasing 100 fold since late last year, its coming true right before our eyes but sadly many are asleep.

It's interesting to note that Joel Rosenberg believes the Gog/Magog war will occur pre-tribulation. I am beginning to think we will see it before Isaiah 17:1. Whether it occurs before, during, or after the rapture you can be sure that these events will quickly unfold. :preach
I think its pre-tib too. There is a really good article on Gog/Magog here: http://www.arewelivinginthelastdays.com/articles.htm

Just a thought,
I believe I'm correct that the general thought is the Rapture will occur after the last person (gentile) is saved.
This would end the Time of the Gentiles.
Barring theological debate, I was wondwering what kind of image - what would it be like when that last person is saved?
Do you picture a final world wide revival?
Or a world so cold and dead that very few even evoke the Name of Jesus in praise?
Do you see violence and hide and seek to find believers?
Or maybe there are so few believers that when the Rapture occurs, nobody notices?
I've always pictured a winnowing. Times get tough, and that tends to distill the pure heart for Christ. A little flame and ....we're gone.
But sometimes I wonder if anyone will really notice our absence, or are they gonna party? I know one group will party - they do the darndest things.
And how many of us will be weeping for those left behind? Many I suspect.
:pray ing to make the most of every opportunity God provides till then.

The way this world is right now, I don't see a revival. (I hope I am wrong and I know the Lord can do anything, but as cold and evil that the world is getting, I just don't see it). I don't think there are that many more left to accept God and I hope I am wrong.
But to be frank, most Christians I know are just holding on with their fingertips, only getting through this life day by day and only because of God's mercy and grace. I don't know how people who don't have a relationship with Christ make it a single minute in this world, but they don't seem to notice or care about anything about themselves.

I don't agree with everything Jack Kelly says. Additionally, Perry Stone and Hal Lindsey both see this as a Rapture reference FWIW. So you can find folks on both sides of this...
Typically, those who adhere closer to classic dispensationalism will see a rapture in Matthew 24. But other prominent pre-tribbers such as Chafer (he went as far as to call it "foolish" to his class), Walvoord, Ice and Ryrie did/do not. Neither do I. Pre-wrathers and post-tribbers, of course, see one also.

I give up. I think the text is speaking of the Second Coming, although a couple verses simply seem out of place and may be referring to the rapture instead of the Second Coming.
I think I learned something from the studies though. We are to ALWAYS be prepared and ready. Point taken.

The great revival will occur after the rapture--when many will be awakened to the teachings of the bible in terms of prophecy and His second coming. There will be many believers who will die as martyrs as a result. :ohno
