Global Warming Insanity?

“The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority,” Marcus Aurelius opined, “but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.” An even worse fate would be to end up in minority status and an asylum. Recent developments suggest that this might become the destiny of climate change alarmists.

Now that NASA has corrected its US temperature records, the hottest year on record is no longer 1998, but 1934. Five of the ten hottest years since 1880 were between 1920 and 1940 – and the 15 hottest years since 1880 are spread across seven decades. This suggests natural variation, not a warming trend. Plant and insect remains found at the base of Greenland’s ice sheet indicate that, just 400,000 years ago, the island was blanketed in forests and basking in temperatures perhaps 27 degrees F warmer than today.

I believe all this hype is another avenue to dip into taxpayers' pockets. They will persist until they succeed and everyone who works and pay taxes will be paying someone billions to "research" a study for a project that is already debunked by actual records.

The sad thing is that a Global increase in termperature would actually benefit mankind. As history shows, every time the temperatures have risen, prosperity has followed.

global warming or not....the hoof beats of the black horse of Rev. 6....will bring great famine....which I believe the beginning stages are set....food will be the demand rather than oil....the great secular scientist will really do some head scratching during latter days........

Global warming is just a religion for atheists. They don't want to believe in God, but since humans have a built in need for God, whether they reject Him or not they still have to fill that need with something. Global Warmism (along with lots of other horrible stuff) is just a result of desperately trying to fill that need.

Global warming temperatures are an annual averaged temperature measured from thousands of sites spread around the world.

However, the majority of the detectors are in civilised countries, AND located near cities.

It is a known fact that cities have a higher heat signiture than natural forest or grasslands. I think its a simple fact of more and larger cities creating an artificial reading on the automated guages.

They supposedly do a correction for this, but I have my susspicians.
