We use a coupon every chance we get. We also use a frequent shopper card for Speedway as it earns us points we can use their for things including Speedway cards which you can buy fuel with, we use the Kroger Card in addition to our coupons and we take advantage of all the $10 for $10 deals when available and it's a plus when I have coupons for those.

Also, if you use Mypoints they offer Shell Gift Cards now and you can buy fuel with those. We do that too.

As a homeschool mom and a mom having Lupus I can tell you when only your husband works, and even though I get a disability check once a month and yes we do get Food Stamps too but, with 4 growin still here at home 3 boys and 1 girl, them boys can eat! I never seen kids eat so much in my life, and luckily mine aren't overweight yet but I get on em because Food Stamps only go so far and they only come once a month as well.

We couldn't survive if we didn't use coupons and take advantage of specials. Anyone has anytips or other sites like the one mentioned earlier please send em my way.

Nannette (a.k.a. LupusMommyto5)

Have any of you checked out angel food ministries. We go once a month to place our order, then with what I buy at the grocery we usually have more than enough to carry us through till the next month. I, always look for ways to save money other than the coupons that I do. To see if you have an angel food ministries , just go to the website & you can find out if there are any in your area. www.angelfoodministries.com. For as little as $25 a month, you can get a basic box full of food, they have add on units for any where from $15 to $18, before you can get the add on units you must get the basic. For those on really tight budget it's really worth checking into, the only downside that some people may have is that they only accept cash, money order or food stamps. But if your looking for other ways to save money this worth checking out.

Wife, I think that's a great idea. :thumb I've already started using her ideas, and I saved $50 on my first two days of shopping using coupons. :yay That's not bad.

I had a coupon for shampoo, buy one get one free. At Walmart their regular price was cheaper than Krogers sale price. I bought 4 bottles, because I had 5 coupons, and only paid $1.00 per bottle. I still have three coupons left over. This is Loreal brand shampoo. I think once I get the hang of it, I'll be able to save more.

I bought some coupons for Finesse shampoo from eBay and then got them about 2 days before they were to expire. I thought I wasn't going to get those, so I ordered some from Coupon Master. The coupons were $1/1 and I ended up with 23 coupons (1 I found in a recent insert). King Soopers (Kroeger) had that shampoo on sale 2/$4, so with my coupon, the shampoo was just $1 bottle. I bought 21 bottles of shampoo for $21. I added up how much it would have cost without the coupons and it was almost $70. My DH is the only one who uses it, but now I won't have to worry about trying to find it (not everyone carries it anymore) when he tells me he's running low and run to 2 or 3 different stores before I find it. I also got some toothpaste on sale for really cheap. Recently I got some bigger tubes for $1/tube and some smaller tubes were $.50 to $.66/tube. When toothpaste can run $2.50/tube, that's a really good price. :)

I also use www.thegrocerygame.com. They match up the coupons in my inserts to the deals at my favorite stores. I just use Safeway and King Soopers right now and match up coupons to Albertsons if I find an exceptional deal. My Safeway and King Soopers double my coupons, so Albertsons isn't always as enticing.
