Something bad bad bad would have to happen for gas to hit $4 in the next two months. IMO, I just don't see it happening...yet.

I will bet you two soft pretzels a blueberry muffin and some chocolate cake that gas will be around 3.65 by Thanksgiving, unless Syria does something incredibly stupid against Israel, or we go into Iran, in that case gas will be around 5 dollars a gallon by Christmas...if we still can buy it, or need to buy it....:scratch

Gas may get that expensive, but it won't be because of events in the ME. It'll be as a result of the coming meltdown of our economy.

Gas has risen about 15 cents in the past week or so here in Alabama; interestingly, it shot up 7 cents a gallon a day or two after the feds dropped the prime rate a half point. Also, interestingly, oil shot up a few bucks a barrel when the rate cut was announced.

Oil shot up because our dollar is losing its value and commodities that are priced in dollars must go up in price... Gas just follows suit.

Funny that oil price is at an all time high but gas has gone down here in the Midwest. I think its like 2.65 a gal down from 2.80 something when oil was much lower.

If gas get too much higher (4.00-5.00 a gal) the poopoo is going to hit the fan on our already failing economy.

Thanks to the rate cut which has caused the dollar to crash Im not willing to bet muffins or cookies that gas wont hit $4.00 by Thanksgiving. With the way things are going I dont know if I will be able to afford luxuries like cookies by then anyway. :idunno

I really think we are begining to see what John prophesied - Hyperinflation for the staples.

The price of crude oil is not the most important factor driving gasoline prices.

The fact that we have not built new refineries due to pressure from enviornmentalist is the number 1 factor driving gasoline prices.

The global warming sham is being used to drive prices high, and gain control of the masses through indoctrination of the "guilt" complex.

We are human, bad for the enviornment and thus we are evil. Now the elite, they are not evil. They know what is best thus they get special exemptions that allow them to fly in private jets and drive 100,000 sports cars.

It is you and I that need to be educated and controlled.

Beware, the socialists are here and they are viaing for your vote in 2008. I hope you know who these people are. If not, it will be an up HILL battle from 2008 and beyond. Hopefully, you get my drift.
