Do you incorporate poetry in your HSing. I am looking at this http://writing-edu.com/poetry/ and wondering if any of you have used it. It's not cheap though :rolleyes. I would love to read aloud more to my children but strangely I can't go long periods of time talking due to my allergies hurting my teeth. :rolleyes Stupid i know but it hurts after a while.

Our curriculum already incorporates poetry but I did find a book at a curriculum fair on teaching poetry. It's called Writing Poetry with Children. The publisher is Evan-Moor. It's for grades 1-6. I haven't used it yet but it looks good. I thought I would do a unit study on poetry and use it for that.

I also got the book How To Read A Poem by Burton Raffel. It is a very in-depth study. I think it would be more for middle and high schoolers.
