My kids play mostly, as Halo makes me dizzy. I played on Tuesday for about 2 hours...pretty nice game, but as a diehard Socom fan, I just find it so hard to kill someone in Halo...:doh

I really want to get an Xbox 360, not just for Halo 3, but for Mass Effect. I am a huge fan of the KOTOR games and Mass Effect is just what the doctor ordered. I imagine Halo 3 is quite awesome. I remember bringing home my first Xbox with Halo and just being in awe. I was 22, just married, no kids, and money to burn.....good times.....good times :aha

I have one boys birthday coming up, and his mothers birthday shortly after and then Thanksgiving followed by Christmas. So it will be awhile before I can spend any money on myself.

Mass Effect is supposed to be the next best game of the year...I pre-ordered it months ago, and I hope it is as good as they say...it is supposed to be a cross between Gears of War (gameplay, shooting, roadie-running) and Jade Empire/KOTOR for RPG, but the RPG aspect is supposed to be the most advanced ever. I hope it is good...it is also being hailed as a 40-50 hour RPG Campaign!!! For people like me, with a job and family, that is like a 6 month gaming investment...:lol2

You are going to have to pm me when you get the game in and tell me how awesome it is! I can't powergame anymore either, so a game like Mass Effect will last me for a very long time.

My boys took over my Xbox, and I also bought them a Nintendo Wii, so the 360 will be mine!

I just hope that Mass Effect doesn't kill the possibility of those guys developing KOTOR III. It is not looking too good since Mass Effect will be a trilogy.

I read 2 months ago that the Mass Effect team split off, since it was almost done, leaving a small team to finish the product. The rest split into 2 teams; one to start KOTOR III and the other to get going on Jade Empire 2 (also an awesome game!). We will probably see teasers after the new year for the upcoming games...although, SW: The Force Unleashed looks pretty good too...

Oh man if that info about KOTOR III is correct then you just made my year (and I do not know why there wouldn't be a KOTOR III Lucas loves him some money).

Oh and I totally agree, "The Force Unleashed" looks like a blast. I really hope they utilize the Wimote for lightsaber control. If so I will be putting the boys bed a little earlier than usual when that game comes out :lol2

Have you played Jade Empire? It is really good...grab a used copy and play before Mass Effect comes out...it will get you in the RPG/Action mode...:nod
