I guess I should have been more distinct in my concern... sorry guys... I meant as the economy goes bad and things get worse for everyone - including my family "before the rapture" .... that's when I think of my children. Say for example, I lose my job and and such and we go through trials as a family... If it were just me and my wife... I would feel differently, but with two little lovable girls - it just hurts to think about (human nature I suppose).... that's all. I have no doubts my kiddos are gonna be taken when I do. My two year old is an awesome prayer warrior... (haha) - she is .. really.
thanks - Tim

You sound like a very loving and protective father, your children are very blessed to have you!
I was just reading in the O.T. and I can't find it now for the life of me,about how God never allowed the clothing and the shoes of the Israelites to wear out the entire 40 years in the desert and it really helped me to grasp even more our Father's love for us and that He will always provide our needs, even when(and especially in) the times of extreme hardship and testing, all we have to do is trust in Him just as your daughters trust in you for their daily needs;they probably never take one thought about what their going to eat or wear from one day to the next because they know that they are safeand protected and loved. This is exactly the same kind of trust our Lord wants for us to have in Him. Just think about the fact that as much as you love your children ,your Heavenly Father loves them(and you) even more and is all powerful and sovereign and will always be a perfect and careing and loving provider to His own.
I think you may be right that there are probably some very rough days ahead if the Lord tarries, but He will never leave us nor forsake us and He knows our needs before we even ask,so there's never any reason to worry or fear what's ahead. :hug

I know the children of the saved are going in the rapture... if they too are saved or under the age of accountability.

I also think that if just one parent is saved the child is covered.

But I am not sure about those that both parents are unbelievers. This isnt just something im throwing in the air. My unsaved brother and his wiccan wife have a 4 and 1 year old i worry about.

I would think that a 4 year old and a 1 year old would fall under the age of accountability.

Children are very resiliant and handle things much better than adults do in bad times....think of all the wars and droughts, plagues and depressions, orphans living on their own etc that have gone on since the beginning of time...the children fare better than the adults most of the time, we see them as weaker than they are....if anything people become weaker in mind and body as they get older, they don't endure hardship and change as well and their fear levels seem to rise as they get older.

Jack Van Impe, John Hagee and TD Jakes allsay that children under the age of accountability will be taken. Remeber in "Vanished", "Left Behind" and Apocolypse" (Sp?), when rapture happened, all the mothers were screaming? I don't want to be here 5 minutes after mother's realize what has just happened!!

manytears, :ghug Jayna, Amanda's Mom, Everyone here, who has lost a child.
Your so welcome. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can so relate to your screen name. Mario's 25th Birthday is the end of this month as well. Another first. His first Birthday in Heaven. I can't believe he's been gone almost 7 months. My heart aches so. I was looking for a poem on Birthdays in Heaven. Those songs bring me so much comfort. I'm glad they Blessed you as well. If it weren't for my strong faith in a Sovereign, Loving God, I don't know where I would be right now. Thank you, Jesus we have Hope. We will be reunited with our children again. It is then, you will wipe away every tear. Thank you, Lord.

Until their children are old enough to understand what sin is, and their need for salvation, they're covered by Jesus. If they were to die now, they'd go to Heaven; therefore, if the trumpet blows before they reach that threshhold mentioned above, they will join the rest of us in the Rapture. Nobody can ride to Heaven on his parent's coattails; he either has to make the decision on his own, or he has to be too young to do so.

Proverbs 3:25 and 26

Have no fear of sudden disaster
or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
for the LORD will be your confidence
and will keep your foot from being snared.

This verse always comforts me as I am expecting my fourth little one. I too worry sometimes for my family in times of trouble, cause lets face it, we DO NOT REALLY know trouble in this country. Are we ready?
Answer, yes, but only because of Jesus.

Another good verse. I cannot remember the reference but...
'all of the days ordained for you were written in his book before one of them came to be'. That one gives me great confidence too!
God is in control of ALL THINGS.

Another thought...'trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways ackowledge him and he will direct your paths.
