His Bride

Thank you Lostsheep. Wow, it's been over twenty years and his death is still being used by our Lord. What a blessing. Seven is a sweet age for little ones. Enjoy your baby. We have a baby grandchild now and life goes on, even after heartache. I am looking forward to a grand reunion for our family one day. Then we will truly "taste and see that the Lord is good." We must never loose hope. He has in His hands surprises beyond all imagination for His children. One day....

My sister-in-law lost her daughter at the age of two to Leukemia. It's been several years but her heart is still broken. She hasn't fully recovered. I know that she will one day be reunited and her little girl will say: I just got here Mommy I'm so glad you followed me, isn't this place neat?

I have a 14 month old son with the Lord and a son I miscarried at 14 weeks with the Lord. I don't know if they will look like children or be adults, it wouldn't surprise me if they look like children because God considers children a great blessing. We'll all be growing in our knowledge when we get to heaven so I don't so why we wouldn't be learning at different rates. No matter how "old" they are, I can't wait to see my 14 month old and get accquainted with our son that I miscarried.

God bless all the parents who have lost children before and after birth, may peace be granted to them knowing they will be together for all eternity. In His name I pray,Amen. I,too, have a "child in Heaven" who is 33 and can't wait to meet and know him. :hug

I am by no means a poet, but I wrote this the other night. Another month and it will be 2 years. I can't believe it's been that long. It seems like I just saw him. Ihurt, that first angel date was very hard. I will be praying for you.
This child, born so ill,
hands laid on him to make him well
This child, who nursed my breast,
who gently slept upon my chest
This child, who softly cooed,
God has so many plans for you
This child, blue eyes, dark hair,
the angels keep you in their care
This child with padded feet,
would run to the door for daddy to greet
To this child, a sister arrives,
very best friends for the rest of their lives
To this child, a brother born too,
someday to look a lot like you
This child, as fast as he could,
would run to his grandparents through the woods
This child, loved to be outside,
camping and sleeping out under the skies
This child, at the age of seven,
asked Jesus in his heart, so he'd go to Heaven
This child grew up fast,
time for college, an adult at last
This child, his mother's heart swells,
the pride she feels, just overwhelms
This child kissed his parents goodnight,
promised to be home by morning light
This child, got to fly,
up with the angels into the sky
This child, had so many friends,
some stayed with him in the end
This child, left a mother heart broken,
so many words left unspoken
This child, I soon will see,
when my Father comes for me
This child, my pride and joy,
my precious, precious, baby boy

You know I've thought about this since posting it. I wonder now. Do people go to hell because they have sinned or because of that and what you said? That would be an interesting conversation... eek! Did I say, "conversation?" Okay, "dialog" lol.
I guess I would ask, "What about those before Christ?" Didn't they go to hell (if not saved) because they rebelled against God (sin)? Maybe it's one of those "band your head on the wall" kind of questions.
1 Corinthians 10 is one passage we can look at to assist us with the issue you bring up:
1For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3They all ate the same spiritual food 4and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. 5Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.
6Now these things occurred as examples[a] to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. 7Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry."[b] 8We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. 9We should not test the Lord, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. 12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

It's good to be back. I've been reading but afraid to post. This Labor Day weekend will be my year...it's like this BIG LOOMING DATE...I hate it! I wish it would hurry and pass and then I can't believe it'll be a year without my sweet girl! Her last words to me on the phone were...I love you too pookey face. :) :( (Happy and sad at the same time)
:hug After over 4 years I'm still saying 'how can this be?'. Still hard to believe and very painful.
